    Okay, here are the details.

We started out on top of the world -- A group, 0 penalty laps. I got an hour out there and then we had a mechanical. After that was corrected, the next driver went out and got two laps and the radiator hose blew. But there wasn't a radiator hose stand at Sonoma Raceway, so off to the car parts store we went! Next driver went out with a new hose and then the oil filler cap blew off and coated the engine bay - and the ground! After that it was a mix of mechanicals, black flags, penalties, etc. Team V2 got "nudged" by another car and lost part of its front suspension pretty early on. I'll post the not so pretty pics later on.

    ...finished 14th in class.

    Running at the checkers.

ECU problems, crank shaft position sensor problems, distributor bought new from San Rafael......but there at the end !

Rather difficult to see a certain FerrAudi driver at the wheel, 1 of 4 very competent drivers.

They don't call it endurance racing for no reason.

Did you get the CART wing adjusted for the correct down force? Maybe you needed up force?

Come to think of it, that wing may be where all the problems started!

    Hey FOGers.

May 4th is the dinner and book making event for the 2013 FOG Rally charity, "826 Valencia."

This is a great opportunity to support an excellent charity that fosters literacy in some of the most disadvantaged youth in SF. Space constraints limit this to 50 guests so please RSVP now if you wish to secure a space.

The event includes dinner, wine, and a keepsake book that we will create together. There will even be a professional artist illustrating our story in real time!

This is going to be a blast. So please mark your calendar and join us for this key event for the 2013 FOG Rally.

Special thanks to Hafner Vineyard for donating the wine to the event!

    PM me with any questions.

DaK, maybe we will install it for the higher speed tracks...or another car completely.

Right now it's a very pretty bit of garage art/history.

So a couple of us did the Tesla drive today. Kai, you were right. Car blew me away. So there were three of us in the car and David S nailed it just after we crept out of the dealership lot -- and I had the visceral sensation one gets on a theme park ride. There is that much G-force created. You get 443 foot pounds of torque instantly. Whether you nail it from a dead stop or jump on it when you are at 80 mph, you get thrown back. Officially, 458 Italia, 0-60: 3.4 seconds. Model S, top of the line, 0-60: 4.4.

Here a Model S beats a Viper at a drag strip. They say it was 0-60 in 3.9 seconds.

Ha ha, glad you liked it so much.

    Car & Driver tested the P85 and got a 3.9 0-60 mph.

Yes, the theme park ride analogy is very appropriate.

What color did you order?? :)

    Happy Easter!!!
