sold for $16,800....the asking. Guess the buyer got scared at the last min. With all the bids going up that he bought it now with 20 seconds left. My max would of been $15k if the paint was original. ...

Tater replies "This car is making me thirsty" and will start sending monthly installments for #1, mailing address needed for installments :D. I kinda look at it like I could easily dump $10K-$15K into the Miata or buy an icon.

    Fracking awesome!!!!!

    nice video

agreed, the problem is how much they are now, and seem to be rising too, a super clean T2 is easily north of $40K

I have not done a market search on them but yes $40K is getting up there. I believe there is one that attended the Highland Village meet last year here in H-town?

the last few I've posted up prior, the latest one in Germany is asking price equal to $46.5K USD, and really nice ones are apparently trading hands for up to the $50K mark ....fewer & fewer seem to come up for sale per year too!

im running front tire 195.50.15 rear 265.50.15 ... Hankook tires , good enough for me on mulholland. If you go with the other brands you will pay to much. If you go with the Yokohoma AVS 285/40 x 15 your looking at least $1200 for the pair. That is if you can find them as they has been officially discontinued by Yokohoma :(....im only losing a little width which is ok for me..

well you certainly can't tell from just looking ...and the gotti style rims have a fitting look for the R5T!
I know you're not worried about the car being all original, but out of curiosity have you kept OEM parts for the car, like metric wheels, etc.

The only thing I changed out are the seats, old ones being the original recaros with the hand pump..:) Gave them to a friend with a 67 camero. Changed the shocks out to the racing bilsteins that go on the Maxi turbo, and exhaust. The original owner who is a big car guy did the following. The original turbo system consisted of a throttle body on the intake side of the turbo which fed through a CIS injection system and through an air to air intercooler. My car has the throttle body on the output of the turbo (correct way) using a GMC Typhoon throttle body and water to air intercooler. The water to air intercooler is cooled by a small radiator and pump. The CIS has been replaced by Electromotive EFI (3 bar MAP sensor)and MSD DIS2 distribuless ignition with individual coils per cylinder, Electromotive program included with the car. The boost is controlled by a knob on the dash (14-26PSI) The water pump was removed and a remote mounted electric pump installed with a bypass thermostat for proper cooling of the engine. The air to oil cooler (fire hazard and destroyed my cars) was removed and replaced by a water to oil cooler. The old fuel system consisted of 3 pumps was replaced by one Bosch 044. The plastic fuel tank under the drivers side is removed but included with the car. The 55 amp Bosch Alternator has been replace with a 105 amp GM 1 wire to accommodate the electrical needs.
As far as i know the gotti wheels where an add on, not stock. Stock would be the ones here..

    JeremyJon,
After reading Kerim's post and his mention of Electromotive what ECU will my car have :D ? Will it be aftermarket or a Renault ECU and if it is a Renault ECU can they be accessed for adjustment? Personaly I would prefer a MAP sensor based setup eliminating the throttle body all together.

Man I love these cars and this thread.
