I want to drop bombs on countries practicing such import taxes. OP : Enjoy your ride and post pics once delivered !!
Yup same thing here in Brazil. 800K$ for a 458 $975k for a Spider 1.5mm for a F12. 3.75mm for a CCXR 5MM for a veyron GS. Not enough? $350k for a cayenne turbo, $130k for a BMW 335i sedan The list goes on and on.. Last one: $60K for a Cooper S
It is always somehow comforting (in a strange way) to read about these obnoxious car tax policies in other countries, because we have a fair share of insane prices as well... Over here an F12 is approx. 750.000 USD, which is already a steep price, so my jaw dropped when I read about the 1,4M $ price! But congratulations to the OP, what a F-debut, hope it's worth it.
actually in China the duty is not as high, a well-spec'd f12 is around 900K. and here they got brand new inventory for delivery with 10% off!
It's amazing how lucky we are in the US. A well equipped F12 can be had for $350K USD, plus maybe another 10% in sales taxes and registration fees depending in what state you live in. Sounds like your first F car is going to be an amazing car!
Fortunately down here in Chile we are not affected by such high import taxes, here a couple examples from the list our friend from Brazil posted: $280K for a 458 Coupe $150k for a Cayenne Turbo $59k for a Mercedes C250 Coupe AMG kit $58k for a BMW M135i Hatchback $40K for a Cooper S Cheers! Pablo.
Perhaps, but I was looking at prices charged for second hand F cars in Europe, and I'm not so sure "lucky" qualifies as an adjective for us when prices there are 20% lower on average. Also, Pluto mentioned there being brand new inventory priced at a discount in China (yes, I understand that its a discount off of a very steep premium, but still...). I'm curious what my dealer would quote me for a production turnaround if I ordered an F12 tomorrow. You'd know better than most since you're in the queue.
We're talking ordering new cars here... 10% discount still means 650K USD. I'll take $350 thank you! I can tell you that the queue at my dealer means delivery in about 18 months.
I don't understand that. In the UK a Spider, unspecced, is £200k and an F12 £237k, an 18% difference, and yet in Brazil an F12 is 50% more?
Here in Germany the F12 Berlinetta costs 268400 , the 458 Italia 194000 , the 458 Spider 221589 and the FF 258200 .
Thank you. F12 is indeed way OTT in every conceivable way. I have owned several Porsches and M cars along the way, but this will be my first V12. I have been to over 25 BMW M car training sessions in Europe at tracks such as the Nordschleife, Spa, Zaandvoort, and Mugello, so I have a fair bit of experience driving powerful cars at race track speeds. I am looking forward to driving the F12 at Fiorano and Varano later this year at the Pilota courses, so I will find the limits on somebody else's F12.
There is no minimum wage in Singapore - free market and all that good capitalist stuff. Thanks, I will certainly do my best.
Thanks. I saw Singapore's first F12 at ItalAuto awaiting PDI yesterday. It was RC with a black interior. Glad to say that RC works well on the car.
Import duty of 30% is not the killer here in Singapore. It is the Additional Registration Fee (ARF) of 180% of the car's CIF value that really stings. It was formerly 100%, but was raised just over a month ago.
The offset is very low income tax and almost no capital gains tax in Singapore. Right, Peter? Congrats on the F12. I won't get to spec mine for another year or two. What happens of someone moves to Singapore? Are their cars subject to import duty?
