Pardon me, bro.. but once again, where can he park? I believed from what I read, he doesn't own a property there as well. Or possibly to rent a garage- but the rental would be quite costly too I reckon.

For King's case, easy. His partners there are more than happy to jaga for him. Otherwise he can easily afford a villa to garage them if not many garage specialists in EU that maintains exotics.

It's also easier to re-sell them in EU than Malaysia. Get a LHD & Germany is a big market that's still buying.

Got a load of friends who will give TLC. No worries. Makes more sense to get a used one as well and depreciation is not much.

the annual cost to maintain a exotic car in Singapore pays for a few nice trip in europe business class.

1 $1mn+ Exotic car depreciates 10% a year in SG.
Even if a $300k euro exotic car depreciates 10% a year, do the math.

    Good to hear.

I still have the evora. Loving the drive, but itching to do something to the exterior of the car. Kept it stock for a long time already. Was thinking of changing wheel colour, and tinting the windows to a darker shade, and maybe blackening out the top. But not so sure if that will turn out well. That black top look on the Mac and 458 looks great with the black wheels. Not too sure about the evora. I have seen some with a black top and original silver wheels. Looks odd. And some with black wheels with original top colour. But not seen any so far with the black top and black wheels with my laser blue.

I've seen the photos of it with black wheels, they look good IMO.
Will ask my housemate to photoshop a quick black roof on for you for comparison. I'm equally curious to see the outcome..haha!

Asianbond, can you please share with us how it was like to do Targa Florio? Was it more of a tourist drive or competitive & how many rounds did you guys do? Do you drive the car on the ferry & cross to Sicily? Many thanks.

Looking at how the locals are taxed, am sure you can find bargains & the Italian police are very exotic cars friendly. The locals take a lot of pride with Ferraris, Lambos and the sort. We often see them wave us on with a grin then thumbs down like stomp :D

Tell your friend many many thanks for his time. And thank you for getting it done.

It does look good. Was wondering if the black gloss wheels will look nice with a laser blue, as it is not a solid colour. I got my answer.

Guess I will be heading down to get me wheels painted glossy black.

2012 Targa Florio was a FIA sanction time regularity event so most of the participants were true rally'ers with timing gear. I ferry the car from Genoa straight down to Palermo Sicily on an overnite ferry.

It was a 3 day rally throughout sicily about 125 vintage cars and 60+ ferrari tribute cars. Quite hardcore rallying, no time for sightseeing. It's much easier to get accepted into than the Mille Miglia. If you're a classic car enthusiast it's well worth doing, definitely a bucket list experience.

Oh man. Look at your company of fine cars!!! Chris that's a very fine looking 911 you have that & what color is it, it's very unique.

Mac has been sending emails for entries but I can't go in May then September again so maybe next year or two. Thanks for sharing with us these juicey images & details. Looks like LHD must be considered.

The 911 I was driving is a 1967 swb in original rare "gold" color. It's a bit hot rodded up with vintage rally bucket seats, half roll cage, magneisum minilites, jerry woods straight exhaust and dual triple draft weber carbs. It's a standard 2.0 liter. Quite peaky powerband but superfun to drive on the twisties.

Oh my jaw just hit the keyboard, iPad I mean. Hehehee. Those are some delicious mods & looks like they are quite relax about modifications too! MM will require very strict conformation to originality. This sounds like a fun program.

Have you thought of Tour Auto or the Dutch Tulip?

    Harold did you see this?

I'm participating in the MM this year in 54 XK120. Lotta hp (over 200hp), steering wheel feels like a bus and drum brakes all around (means no brakes). Oh, and no top, so if it rains or snows its like skiing at 100kph.

May consider Tour Auto next year.

Oh yes. I was just about to congratulate you while browsing through the MM site on provisional start nos.

Hearty Congratulations! You & Ong make us proud so we have two Singaporeans in this year's Mille Miglia. Btw, does Dolores read tulips? :D

Me & Hann had no idea about them & picked up along the way, quite a no of cars got lost easily & we joked that wives will demand a divorce after it :p

Just remember to bring rain coats & period ones please ^^

ha. stratos was a purpose built rally car disguise as a road car. in the right context it's the perfect car for the job. but as an everyday driver forget about it.
