Jason, in that era, Lamborghini SpA made changes whenever they wanted to make them, without any thought of aiming for the USA model year system. A running change, would be a good description. 87.5 is even more confusing, I think.

I looked at the schematic again and your right, you're boosting the current carrying capacity of the wire that powers the solenoid to the starter. Why? Is the ignition switch bad or are the contacts dirty? (I don't know if you can take a Countach ignition switch apart to clean the contacts and lube them with conducting grease). You should be able to replace the wire from the ignition switch to the starter but I assume it's in a loom and to unwind that and put it back to to stock does not sound like a fun job. OR for an even more fun job from what I've read, the solenoid contacts could be bad, not a problem now but I read that their starters aren't the easiest to replace. If your intention is to enjoy driving it, I would have probably done the same thing. Won't work for Concours but I'd rather drive and if you do an engine out service. Then it wouldn't be such a nightmare to replace one wire (or solenoid) although I've never seen a Countach wire loom.

The ignition switch would be easier to replace if they sourced if from another manufacturer like Alfa or Fiat. But what the hell, if your just going to drive it, don't worry and have fun!!!!

Welcome to the city of CT wiring and grounding. Not much more to say.

Concours? I doubt even if they find it, which would be tough, that they (or I) would really care. I’m sure that I’d get more points docked because of the red painted logos on the intake manifolds :D

Thanks. Not surprising that with such low production that they wouldn't follow a year/model system. I guess to me, 87.5 sounds closer to when they actually started adding the skirts, but the "88.5" moniker stuck...

Red Logos on the cam covers! Sacrilege! Seriously, what were they stock? Crinkle black with the paint sanded off the Lamborghini or just the whole thing in black? I like to see the Lamborghini logo stand out myself.

There’s a whole discussion on this exact topic somewhere. Search is your friend.

Joe sent out an engine picture once that I still have on my desk in one of the vacation homes. It stares at me like a pin up every time I’m there. Makes me think I need a carb’ed car. Yikes did I say that ;)

Although not stock I personally like the subdued look of crinkle black with bare aluminum logos.

    Yes battery cut off.

Not sure if it was installed by Manufacturer or dealer.

My CT was delivered to Belgium new and with papers comes this emergency button as option.

But no cleared defined Manuf or Dealer.

    Thanks triple-x Julius

Odd place to call me out triple x? Why here? This is where the most noise occurs? The problem I had with your post is the timing and the content. I wouldn't call it 'big time' bothered either? Why you try and prevoke? You don't even know me...very odd?

Chances are that was a dealer add on.

I'll take pictures of mine for you tomorrow.

I'm taking the morning off to rest. I've been going non stop for the last week and last night I just simply ran out of batteries. lol

And @ Mang please don't turn this into a Joe and Kitty Cat type of argument because I had my opinion. It's in the past just let it go.

If you're going to come on here "just to sell something" go do it somewhere else. This place shouldn't be a place full of used car/parts salesman.

    @Mang...

Stop sending me PM's and grow up will ya?

This is the crap he's sent me over and over only a real douuchebag sends this type of crap

"Someone needs attention. Go away you ****ing diuchebag. You got the last word publicly, feel like a big shot bully? Go bug someone else. I've been here for 7 years contributing and don't appreciate your nonsense, go away troll"

when a guy like me simply states an OPINION that the car you're trying to sell for someone else is NOT worth the 75k you're asking. I'm sure more people will chime in (as they have) and tell you the car is not even worth HALF of what your asking. I was being generous by putting the value in the mid 40k range.

If you have something to say, just say it in public. FIVE PM's notice how I didn't respond back? CRY BABY.

Joe I know it's off subject can you look at that car and give Mang-o your honest opinion.

Mang-oh I strongly suggest you do not continue we can go at it like Joe and Kitty cat do AFTER I'm done getting my car ready for the show. I'll have all the time in the world 2 weeks from now.

You have been here for a while and have earned the respct to post your thoughts and what you want...I did not know that selling your own car in a private means, now MAKES you a "Used Car" salesman LOL LOL

Also keep in mind...there is a reason a person gets "banned" on almost every other site they have ever been on...

Does anybody know who this clown is? Been harassing me? The car is mine, not selling for someone else? You needing attention or something? Stop berating me publicly? Why are you trying to bring Joe S. into this? What does he or Lamborghini Countach thread have to do with me offering my 930 in the classifieds? Copycat bullying for someone needing attention. Tangle with someone else please.

Thanks so much for that Roy, he seems to think he has a following and wants to rally Joe Sackey against me for some reason. I complained to Rob via a message.

    FYI Kitty Crap.

I've only been banned from ONE that's you're buddy's Allan Herpes Site. That to me is a badge of honor. lmao

In fact, come to think about it, Allan has been banned from every last site VCA etc etc etc including this one.

The only one that he probably hasn't been banned from is LP and that other one my wife was on.

You honestly think I'm going to be banned from here please.

You can try to have me banned go knock yourself out, and if you DO suck-seed which you wont, but if you get LUCKY and do watch what happens next.

At least I don't rip people off. Oh yeah as Joe stated I don't DRIVE DRUNK with FOUR DUI/DWI's. <<<< I'm surprised you're not locked up never mind banned from posting here.

The only reason you're still here Roy is because of the $ you pay Mr.Lay for sponsorship. If you didn't contribute the funds you do you would have been gone a long time ago.

Come at me with something better Roy will ya.

Every time you come at me I just chew you up and spit you out.

I only commented my OPINION that his 930 is not worth 75k.

The only REASON I commented is because I have one of the last 50 (with COA) '79 930's made for the US market. Other wise I would have never noticed or cared about that car.

99.9% of my posts are only on the Lambo side of this site.

Leo, I must tell you, 3.0 & 3.3 Turbo prices have moved up very significantly, and you may not be aware of this. I recently sold one of my three 3.0 for well into the six figures, a car that some told me might only bring $75k at best. Clearly they were very wrong.

Having said all that, lets keep the Porsche talk in the Porsche section, ok?

    Very Best,

    mike,

i would say you are a perfectionist. i would also say that you know the quality of the cars you collect and their non-repeatable nature...which is to simply say - go try and find one better one cause it aint out there!

don't be bothered w/ your car or the price asked. i honestly think you are priced conservatively and that your 930 is to the correct buyer a 6 figure car. the "right" buyer is clearly not an ebay bottom feeder.

    cheers my friend!

I only stated my opinion he flew off the handle big time.

Then... He sent me 5 unsolicited PM's and wanted to continue.

I told him publically to just let it go how he has kitty cat involved.

And. now he's PM's Rob Lay to have me banned.

Please. I've done nothing wrong but state an opinion on a car I also own.

I can see if I didn't own the same exact car and was pissing in the wind fine come at me all you want.

This reminds me of when I was buying my CT and everyone jumped down my throat telling me I'm a dreamer yaddah yaddah yaddah.

I'm currently looking to acquire an F-40 to add to the stable.

So what are ya'll going to say now? Thought so.
