I've been here for 5 years OK maybe not as long as you have. I sure don't come here to start trouble. It's not like I live on forums and need forums to earn a living. I may not have 1000's or 10's of thousands of posts. Don't need to. This guy has the balls to call me a troll. I'm here to shoot the chit with some of ya'll and have a good BELLY LAUGH when Kitty Cat and Joe get into it. I'm also here to learn about my CT and get help when I'm stuck on something. I'm also here to help others when I find something on one of my cars that is helpful to the community. I NEVER try to sell anything on any forum that's what eBay is for. Can we please move on to something more productive? I believe I asked this nicely twice before.
Leo, leave the market values stuff to those that do it for a living that are also knowledgeable. Now there is a rare breed. Meanwhile, Matthieu Bonnevie's pic of this LP500S in Paris is a fabulous one. As I go through my archives, having finished the Ferrari 288 GTO book (publication August 2013 via Veloce UK), I am starting to get the inspiration for a good Countach book. Hey Leo...take your Buddy Joe's advice..leave the cars to those that know..because as he just stated you ARE WAY off on the Porsche...WOW thats a shocker. AND thank GOD you dont try to sell "Coins in a Pouch" here...after all this is about cars...not about "Gold foil covered" Choclate pieces.. You have done nothing of use here PUT try to pick fights with everyone... Me..I could care less, Allan, Shamile, now on this Porsche.. Let me make sure you understand where I am coming from..I could give a RATS ASS about your car..it is what it is...BUT PLEASE dont try to tell all of us how great it is..99% perfect..FYI..I have never picked your car apart...other then repeat what you post about your wheels and the stick shift knob...guess thats the 1% thats not correct? If YOU truley think your car is so great and should be in everyones collection...then why dont you send all the info, pics..everything here on the board..then we can have Joe, your friend, (if you give him free permission to do so) honestly give a observation and report on your car...after all I am sure he will be totaly upfront and Honest with his assement...because there are plenty of others then can catch what he misses IF you would POST detailed pics... Of course that would incloude pics of the orginial tools, books, spare, window sticker, recent PPI records and records of its past from start to finish, as well as the orginal wheels, shift know and who knows what else to make it a 99% "perfect" car... Knock yourself out...and if you really need to do it in 2 weeks becuase your so "busy"..then cool..we can all wait..should we set a date for the full reveal of your "barn find 99%" perfect car now???
Like it too. The number of the beast... Lp500s? Being in b/w makes it stand out even more. Any other black & white pics?
Pete, Aquote from Don Sherman in the December 1975 issue of Car & Driver: "More expensive automobiles exist, but you could ride through life in a Countach without ever seeing them". I post that purely from memory so if I'm wrong someone please correct me. Bjoern, yes its an LP500S.
Thanks Joe Also my opinion. Funny that in 1980s they installed it. As i mentioned in papers there is it written but no clearly if Manuf/Dealer option. So probably dealer installed it or owner.
Hey, no worries....look at it this way...now you can add Joe to your list of dis-liked people and start attacking him...WIN WIN for you
One of the nicest Countach LP400 I have seen, 1120158 in its original Nero/Bianco livery at Amelia Island. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Kitty Cat. I don't have the time to entertain you. Joe may have the time to sit here and get into a battle with you. I on the other hand am going to take the high road. I have clients here on the F side of things that called me on the phone questioning why am I even entertaining you beyond this post. Gold foiled chocolate coins now that's funny, at least I'm not a DRUNK RIP OFF ARTIST, a pedophile picking up trashy teenaged kids in a Diablo Roadster and bragging about it showing off pix and ID'n every girl I pick up at a trashy redneck bar (one of those girls was 16 years old (doh), and finally there's not enough hours in the day to describe your boy Allan AKA Vapor Boy. Move'n on.....
Roy why are you such a hater. Can't you see, other than your buddies you have here (the few you do have) other than those NO ONE HERE likes you. Joe be graceful and forget about this idiot..... I have..... Moving on...... PS Roy I needed a good CT pic this morning.... I'm having a bad day that I'm still stuck in bed! Sooooo I needed that pic to have a smile. And your issue with my comment is?
LOLthat lasted long..thought you were done with me...at least thats what you said 3 minutes ago LOL NOW..Back on topic... When did you say you want to post all about your car for us all to see this fantastic 99% all orginal barn find of a car???
Oh for fuxache... every friggin' thread... same friggin' crap... you guys sure know how to fucup a forum for everyone else... I hope all three of you get banned.
I've been posting pix here and there. You need glasses When I'm done and hopefully NEXT weekend I'll have quite a bit to post with Balboni when he drives it. A barn find its not. Let's get that perfectly clear. I was in a climate controlled garage stored and not driven for years. When parked it was all there. now that I have it it's still all there just refreshed. My car is WAY better and more original than yours why don't you fly to festival and nip pick it yourself. You have a grand in your pocket to spend next weekend don't you? Fly down.
Also Kitty cat. If you do come down please bring some toys with you and donate at least a grand to the kids with cancer. You're good for it right? Thank you.
I had to quickly look this one up, here we go, rather more long-winded, but appropriate for the 80s era in which it was written. December 1983 Car & Driver: "You shouldn't have this car. Nobody should have this car.... When you surface from the depths of its cockpit and put two feet on the earth's crust, folks with any sense back off a couple paces".
damn. too bad he's gone. reading his posts, you could tell he was kinda "off" but he was entertaining in a "court jester" kind of way...
Its not lost on me that some are here as much to see conflict as they are to learn about Countachs. But, its all good
Interesting! Does that car still belongs to the NY owner? I saw it when it came back from Canada. It was a sorry sight. Busted suspensions, wrong tires, bad paint, very sad interior, ... . It was funny at the time to see that car there because a friend of mine actually passed on the purchase in the early 2000s, before someone in the same area bought it. A well know shop here in CT put it in a "special "barn" waiting for a restoration. That must have been back in 2004 because at that time, I had an accusump mounted by them in mine. So they had 2 countach . These guys did A LOT OF workon that car. I should have taken picts when Isaw it under restoration. When they finished it in 2004 It was a really nice looking car. I am attaching a picture I took of it at the 2004 Greenwich show. Joe, what was the story before 2000? I heard at the time the car was shot in a magazine Image Unavailable, Please Login
