Anyone from Austin Tx familiar with a company called Austin Box Trucks 849 Northwestern Ave Austin, TX 78702 Interested in buying a truck from them but like to know they really exist and are a reputable company
Unsure. Looking at the address on google maps, there is a huge lot with trucks of all sizes. Industrial center of some kind. Shipping something back home?
They are scam artists. I was going to buy a vehicle from them that sounded too good to be true..guess what it was ! surprise! They have a web site that looks legit but when I told him I use Bank of America and there was a branch 1/2 mile away from them they told me they prefer to use Google payments Red flag right there. Then I ask them for a copy of the title and they email it..title is a fake . I called the texas DMV and spoke to a woman who asked me to email her the titlle while I was on the phone with her. She confirmed it was a fake. I wanted to file a complaint and Texas gives you the run around. I called the state police and they still wont do anything ..crazy. Anyway watch out for scams everyone.
This is comical now. They keep calling me and using the same name of Chris Simonson but every time they call you can obviously tell its a different voice and a different person. I told them I have someone from austin to go look at the vehicle. He tells me no problem but I have to send him 1000 deposit first so he can hold it because others are calling and interested in it too. I would love to find someone from this area to go to this address. The vehicle doesnt exist nor does the business I bet
Looking at it on Google maps you can see the entrance to that lot is not Northwestern Ave but Webberville Rd. If you look at streeview the building says 2000 Webberville Road Service Center. Dominic, if it was closer to me I'd drive by and check it out but it's in a sketchy part of town with a address that is more likely residential.
hey guys. my friend sent this company 15 grand. i did my research on the company for him...im assuming its a scam too. he sent to to a chase bank account in georgia. the guys ip address from his emails comes back from PA. he could have a firewall for protection.
I lost $12,500 on a down payment for a 2005 flat top Peterbilt. Deal was too good to be true. The salesman pretended to be the delivery driver also that talked to me clear until the truck did not show up.
Run fast and run far. This is definitely a scam. I think the physical address belongs to the city of Austin and it is a location where they dispatch city trucks. If you google the location it looks like it could be a Box truck company, bu it is assuredly not.
This is true, Moorespeed has a cautionary "scam alert" Thread up in GFD, they are 'dealing' Ferraris so watch out! It's a City of Austin shop, so the Google Earth looks legit.
