    Is it four fifty-eight or

    Is it four five eight?

Seems like more and more pros are calling it the four five eight.

    I have always called the:

    308 the three oh eight
    328 the three twenty-eight
    348 the three forty-eight
    F355 the F three fifty-five
    360 the three sixty
    F430 the F four thirty

But now some are saying four five eight.

    Confused in Colorado.

IMHO correct should be forty-five eight. 4500cc and V8. However in Europe is four five eight.

    I've always heard and said:
    308: three oh eight
    328: three two eight
    348: three four eight
F355: three five five (seldom saying "F" beforehand)
    360: three sixty (parity here)
F430: F four thirty (parity here)
458 Italia: four five eight Italia

I think the 360 and 430 seem to be said the way they are because it still keeps the number of syllables down to three. When the others are said in a more Americanized way (e.g. three fifty five) then you increase the number of syllables and it sounds more cumbersome to say. I've only heard Americans say three forty eight and have not heard that at all in Europe. I've only heard four five eight Italia up to now.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

He speaks such broken English that he probably can only count to ten in English. Thus, he does not know how to say "fifty-eight" yet. :D

The Pope is the Pope. Luca is God.

so 4-5-8 it is forever. Let it be said. Let it be written. ;)

I prefer saying four-fifty-eight, but I can understand Ferrari spokespeople saying four-five-eight..it probably sounds better with their Italian accent.

As I sad earlier, in Europe is four five eight. In Italy they say it both ways. Numerals “Quattro cinque otto” or the effective number “Quattrocento e cinquanta otto”.

But better is to hear Amedeo Felisa:

Let me assure you only inthe US would you consider referring to it as Four Fifty Eight. It is a 458, not a four hundred and fifty eight, not a four fifty eight, not a forty five eight. Simple.
