I've been looking for a good solution to delete my antenna yet ensure that it can be reinstalled later in case a future owner so chooses. The antenna in my car is essentially decorative with the side benefit of allowing water to leak into the trunk and cause a bit of a rust problem.

I've found someone who's willing to make a custom machined plug that looks decent. I looked at many other terrible solutions and this one is actually nice. See picture below. I don't have a price yet, but if anyone else is interested in having one made let me know. The more I have made the better.

I need one piece of info. Can anyone tell me the diameter of the hole for the antenna? And also whether it is standard across all 308s?

Interesting. Thanks for the link! I'm amazed that I didn't come across this site when I searched many different way for plugs a few weeks back.

I like the idea of a colour match with the paint. However I think I can do that myself with the aluminium machined version. What I prefer about the machined version is the ability to seal the hole in the body with an o-ring on the inside and outside, and the fact that it can't be popped out by some random person like the bumper plug product can.
