LMAO... Good thing I wasn't mid-gulp in a cup of coffee. I'd love to see his ebay feedback if he has an ebay account. That would tell the story. Maybe he's got 400 perfect transactions. It would be interesting.
Still in the plastic....wow, I didn't even know I needed one, and now I do!! I do see how the replicas are noticable, though....the sharpness of the knurling.....etc. Probably sell lots of these in Nigeria????
LOL! That's a GREAT story! And certainly true, I put a link BACK IN to a TAG band, and it was $82 installed!!! Real stuff gets expensive......
Read that again, I see it as "authenticated" as in "examined for inspection to determine authenticity" and then I see there is no mention of a 'pass/fail' determination. Maybe it went into the closest Pawn Shop, fairly valued, and then on to Wendy's to eat. In Houston, rare finds ARE possible, I bought a handful of watches at an Estate Sale, a departed Judge. The seller, who I have done thousands of dollars of business with, was honest "the Cartier, it's fake."...but one of the other watches (needed minor repairs) turned out to be about $500.00 in value. I kindly think of departed Judge Kirk, when I wear it, and pnder what a boring life that must be on the Bench, listening to the legal arguements drone on........ It winds itself when you move.... He had some nice Micheal Atkinsons, I gave one to mom.... Sure enough, the Cartier ran for two days, and I threw it in the trash.....new battery in it, too!
Hell, there probably ARE!!! ..and maybe a few more, that would open up....if you were taking .50 cents on the dollar. It's a good observation about the Serial number ID and the fact there is a Theft Notification system in place, the OP to my knowledge would never knowingly handle something 'hot" so I can only take his silence on the issue as embaressment, that he got so excited in the first place. My motto: Fake oakleys, and ray Bans, are okay, fake cars, and fake people are not. Like the watch collector above, I have real AND fake sunglasses, the real ones don't go offshore.
Just found the thread, thanks Darth! But, come on...reading it, is a trip thru the Looking Glass..... "It's a hell of a drug!!"
Transparent? April Fools was yesterday. But seriously, your post here sounds like too much drama to me... this isn't TMZ. Question; when following/bidding on ebay and, all of a sudden, the ad states "This listing is no longer available", do you respond the same way? Both of these posts are personal attacks, from the self-named... Image Unavailable, Please Login
What does my name or post count have to do with this? edit: Oh, the ignorantewest thing. My crapcan race team is called scuderia ignorante. And ignorantewest is my screenname on those forums. It's intentionally self deprecating, I know I'm a dumbass. So if you thought you were executing a sick burn, try again /edit If the mods feel I broke a forum rule by making a personal attack, they can (will) take the action they feel necessary.
There are lots of us that can vouch for that. You want a list of names? And for those of you that don't spend a great deal of time in the Texas section, chances are good you haven't been exposed to the OP as much as some of us. Gain that level of exposure, then pass judgement on our opinions based on your own experience. Daves observation was spot on.
I agree. Here is a representative example of a thread to read in the TX section that the OP started then asked for it to be closed after 3 painful years, 265 posts, and 26,00+ views. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/texas/248994-law-enforcement-update-tex.html
+1 Although I'll keep checking in on this thread whenever the OP decides to explain what happened and/or apologize.
When I saw who started this thread I had a good idea it would turn into a train wreck. He has been posting in just about every other section so that should tell you he is purposely staying away here. That alone should tell you enough about the authenticity of the watch. Glad no one here tried to buy it.
