Does anyone have any pictures showing how I can tighten the rear view mirror on my 246gts. I don't see any external screws on the housing and am nervous about starting to pry anything off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Finally. I just "popped" off the mirror (housing + stem) using a screw driver. The stem fits into a spring loaded ball fitting which is screwed into the top frame of the windshield by two philips head screws. Tightening the screws fixed the problem then I just pushed the mirror back on to the ball assembly.

    That's my mirror!

It's not loose....but all I can see with it is the engine lid.

I'm assuming the only reason it exist is so you can watch for a fire in the engine compartment.

Likewise, my side mirror only shows the engine air intake scoop; certainly designed to see if birds get stuck in the scoop.

What'sa behind me? It no amatter!
