Saw that but didn't have context. Now I do.

    Pathetic.

Great post! It reads, in a nice way, like an F-chat integrity epitaph, but probably not far from the mark.

Is this thread/situation/etc... for real? I'm not so much confused as in disbelief.

I'm gonna go look for that "Ferrari F40 restore advice" thread now :)

He already said in a post in that thread - after being told that most of what he's saying is totally wrong - that he has never owned, driven, or worked on an F40 although it doesn't seem to stop him from saying more stuff that's incorrect for that particular car.

But I don't think anyone can get banned for being a self proclaimed expert and then giving bad advice. At least I have not seen it happen yet and I've seen some really good candidates.

Want to know what's crazy? This thread is up to 7k views and doesn't show any signs of slowing down yet we don't know the true story of what was going on here.

I hoped OP would reply and say if the watch was real or not, and how he attempted to authenticate the watch, and explain what happened.

I felt like the OP tried to rip off members by taking offers on a 70K watch.

Now I feel the OP is scared, and doesn't have it inside himself to talk about what happened.

If OP would have come and spoken truth I would have been forgiving. People make mistakes.

He still posts in the backroom lounge threads everytime a new picture comes up. EVERYTIME! :D

Perhaps he has become lost in all the skin-pics and forgotten this thread is still alive. There is always a chance someone will remind him that this thread continues without him, which is not best.

Not only that, every time I see him post elsewhere and even mock this thread offering his fake watch in jest, it feels like he's pissing on the entire forum.

If a person is a fraud then it's not cyberbulling. It is informing the community.

It is bullying when what is said is untrue. If true it is called a reputation.

The only way to change a reputation is to change behavior. In this case the OP needs to come and speak the truth. Nothing less will save his character.

Someone provided a link that suggests OP stole fishing equipment from people he befriended online.

There are sellers who try and sneak in a fake Rolex every now and then to supplement selling legit watches. I suspect you have sold fake Rolexes and I would never buy from you.

Nobody can authenticate a Rolex without opening the watch. In addition there are other tests and each test requires bulky equipment.

It is a LIE to say anyone can authenticate a watch by looking at a watch without running tests.

The only reason you would admit "buddies" authenticate without opening the watch is to mitigate fraud. It is the "golly geee whiz" defense in court. You will claim you didn't know but you are a seller and should know.

You may be as bad as the OP.

I do not trust VTChris. His answer to authentication is as shady as the OP.
