Rolex collectors!!

First, I personally don't think anyone was in real danger of being scammed in this thread as I don't think anyone was really interested in buying a garage sale found Leopard Daytona.

Second, a pressure test is just that-- a test. Watches are only likely to be damaged if they were to fail a pressure test. They would fail due to improper reassembly. How many experienced watch smiths have watches that fail pressure tests? I honestly don't have a figure, but I have heard talk that the fail rate is very low.

Honestly, I hope you are not banned and can join a great community here at FerrariChat. You will find that the community here is very diverse with a great breadth of information. I also hope that you can recognize that it is ok to have differing opinions and it is rewarding to learn from those more knowledgable.

However, please recognize that online communities tend to be more cautious of rookie posters with a blank profile. Especially, when they call the ethics of a very respected member into question.

Better check again - I don't recall VTChris saying anything of the sort. You're just assuming the above, and that's it.

 

Just to step up to the plate, I have purchased a watch from Chris and he is a stand up and great guy. I would purchase again from him without any hesitation as would many on this site.
