    Not sure what I'm technically allowed to share from the filming, but here's some teaser pics taken in manhattan and palisades park. Despite the cold, she ran great. If you have the nerve, driving a vintage Lamborghini through NYC is a great way to see the city!

    mifgt be correct, I remember Bertone had this miura on his Geneva car show stand celebrating it's birthday, might have been the same time, but could also be 1996.

    I don't think he expected to like Miuras in general, but a few minutes in this one really won him over. In his words "it was like a street-legal 917". He didn't have a bad thing to say about it.
    We went through an entire tank of fuel, so he certainly had plenty of seat time to evaluate the car.

    From the Jalopnik footage it didn't sound like the car was properly tuned. Maybe that added to the experience, LOL.

    The jalopnik vid was shot with an iphone by one of the guys at Manhattan Car Club, who weren't supposed to open or start the car while it was in storage. I think they fouled a plug while playing with it, and it took awhile for the car to clean out the next day. Once it was right, it was really strong.

    I wasn't thrilled to find out about the video.

    Wouldn't be the first time, I'm sure. Someone recently forwarded me a video of a young mechanic thrashing a customer's 300SL.

    Glad to hear the car was well for the shoot.

    Complete with some minty fresh CN12s. IMO a Miura cannot look better than with CN12s.

    Meanwhile, you can see that Pirelli had a display on the stand behind the Miura.

    Its a VERY well-known car. Miura SV 4866, engine #30637, Production #634, completed at Sant Agata on the 16th of June 1971.

    Originally Silver/Mustard. Air conditioning. Originally to Modena Car. A USA-spec car.

    1971 - Sold new to a father-and-son team who collected the car from Modena Racing Co.'s New York facility and drove it straight home - to Texas!

    Serviced by ex-factory Miura production engineer, Claudio Zampolli in the late 70s/early 80s. Historic images show it in its original color in front of Zampolli's famous shop in Los Angeles, circa 1980.

    Sold to Florida in 1982 & repainted black for Ken Hendricks.

    Symbolic Motorcar Co. in 1995.

    Then to Pittsburgh.

    Then to New Jersey.

    Then to Canada.

    Then to California.

    Then to Mexico.

    There has been some suggestion that 4866 belonged to Rod Stewart as the SV which he kept in Beverly Hills (he also kept the RHD SV 4818 in the UK, this car is now in Hong Kong).

    This image below taken March 8th 1978 in front of Le Dome in Holly wood shows Rod Stewart and Siv Alberg in a Miura, but, curiously this one has a black interior (with brown cloth inserts), and this supports the inconclusive claim that Stewart owned 4866. He definitely owned a silver USA SV (per sightings) but tying that to 4866 has proved elusive.
