I'm doing sticky chores. Problem: on the small module with the mirror remote I found that the added button below the mirror control appears hard wired with no connector. It is for the radar detector but does not work. Detector remains on at a very high volume. The surface of this small module has a pretty bad case of the stickies. Has anyone removed stickies with the piece still partially attached to the console (by a short bundle of wires going into the module)? Thank you!

You can get the goo off using rubbing alcohol. That can be done with the piece in place. The question then becomes "How did you refinish the other parts?" because the bare plastic (which looks ok to me) may not match the refinished rest of the interior.

Or you could just cut the non-functioning wire.....

Thanks, what to do with the non functioning switch is my next issue. I am just a bit leery about clipping the 5 or so wires. Not much slack if I need to hook it back up

Robbie I can get this little module out without cutting about 6 wires controlling the radar detector. Front panel and buttons are soon on the way when I can unhook the connectors from each button (tomorrow?) Thanks. Very happy with the HVAC and 3 vents - starting to shape up. How about thr door handles? Any ideas how to get them out?

I have sent Robbie sticky parts for the last 3 of the 4 Ferrari's I have owned. The latest was for my newly acquired 550M. The results were great! I have received the same great results and speedy service every time I have to deal with the "stickies". Robbie will provide the expertise and results any Ferrari is deserved. See his website for DIY removal and reinstallation instruction.
