    I am having a problem of lack of acceleration and rough idling with my 86 Testa. The engine reves but when in gear it is very slow and sluggish as compared to normal. Any thoughts?

    are you sure it is running on both banks of cylinders ?

    Yes. I have been told to check the O2 sensor and power relay. Other than rough idling, don't seem to notice a problem until the car is in gear and accelerating. When accelerating the RPMs climb at a slower rate than normal and feels like it has about 70% of the normal power. Thought it may have been a problem with bad gas since I don't drive it often. Refueled and still have the same issues. Thanks

    (Assuming that you have a US version TR with F113A040 engine.)

    The O2 sensors can't/don't affect cold-running (so, if it exhibits the bad running symptom immediately after cold start-up, they are, most likely, not the problem).

    Not "power relay" (although it does supply +12V power to run the electrical part of the KE-Jet system) -- "protection relay" is the term best used for searching prior threads.

    Check again to see if both banks are running.
