we were just down for 30 minutes. I was here the entire time looking at it, so I wasn't OOO when it happened. :)

we haven't had very many last 8 years, so I will certainly get to bottom of this one.

    get some work done?

takes discipline, go eat lunch, do some work, check back every 15 minutes not every 15 seconds. :D

this one was really bad for some reason not counting the backup ones that happen early in morning yankee time.

I'm glad I did not experience this. If I did, it would indicate that I spend way too much damn time here.

Is it the hosting company that notifies you ?

How would you even know it was down Rob ?

you can't hit the site. :)

I'm on FerrariChat.com up to 17 hours a day, but there are times it can go down when I'm not on it. The host and server admin all have automatic notifications for various things. Most of those are delayed, so if I'm on when it goes down I start looking at it right away and notify them often before their sensors do.

FYI there will be some long outages early early morning tonight states time to do some hardware upgrades.

I can barely string a proper sentence, let alone be a computer whiz to spike a site :p

Didn't know you were such a workaholic ;)

Good luck on the upgrades !

I said up to 17 hours and those hours would be multi-tasking with other things. Sometimes wish I had a day job again to get more done with FChat. ;)

    Bush's fault.

I couldn't post responses yesterday - not sure why, but it was in / out - I could post responses at various points in the day.

so far so good, no outages since the BIOS upgrades. it was down for very short periods yesterday, but if it was down most of the time for you I would suspect another problem on your end. I was logged in most of the day yesterday without problems.

    Bah, humbug! :)

I guess you're not much of an F1 fan?.... Your timing couldn't have been worse - We were down thru more or less all of FP2 last night. :(

No worries as long as it's all good for qualy tonight - We'll forgive you. ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian
