re. 50th - at least 68 cars coming from UK - 3 organised convoys - LCUK, Pistonheads, and HROwen - we're with the latter

re. Tribute to Ferruccio - suspect that will be a lot of vintage/classic cars, rather than the modern ones.

re. MuseoLamborghini Day - Fabio covering this 1 day event as well, but this is part of the Tribute event as well ?

There is also an Australian organised tour I'd heard from the 12th....

Just got word from Ferrari on my tour after the 50th, oh the gear head week this will be.

    Ferrari North America, Inc.
    April 12, 2013

    Dear Mr. Spindle,

    · Visit to the Museum Galleria Ferrari
    · Visit to the GT Division
    · Visit to the Race Division

Your Factory tour will commence at Ferrari main reception, which is located at Via Abetone Inferiore 4 in Maranello. You will be asked for the below confirmation notice; please sure to print it and bring it with you.
It is important to note that young guests, ages 16 through 19 must show identification with proof of age in order to gain entry to the Ferrari Factory. Don't get your hopes up to high..it is a pretty dis-appointing tour, especially if you do it after the Lamborghini Factory tour..

HOWEVER, they do have nice tour bus's to take you around as you listen to the pre-recorded hand held device and see everything from behind the glass...reminded me of the "Disneyland" tours...BUT it is a thing to mark off your list when visiting...and of course don't forget to walk across the street to the HUGH commercial outlet store that sells everything Ferrari related.

LOL//no BUT but they sure have bright RED shoes that say Ferrari on them!! You can get them to match your Baseball cap, Wind breaker Jacket, T-Shirt and Shorts..

ALL in Red of course...I do think they now give you an option of Shorts in Yellow HA HA

    Karlton,

After the Lamborghini tour, this will be a good change of scenery. The Ferrari SpA tour is a pretty impressive & inspiring one, steeped in tradition & history.

You'll love it, even if you didn't already own one of Maranello's finest. I have had several clients just return from Maranello for activities connected to the new Supercar, some of whom have been there many times, and they all say that it always blows them away and gets them home even more enthused.

    Enjoy!

You are right: just the Galleria Ferrari worths the money and time. The minibus tour will be disappointing. Nobody can vist the racing department: they think to be Fort Knox or even more....

I prefer by far the more friendly attitude Lamborghini has. Ferrari is a great brand, but i do not appreciate that they think to be God in person.

    ciao

If you can visit the Race Division, and the F1 Clients FXX Department as Karlton will be doing, it is very special. The behind-the-scenes stuff is amazing.

That was the first hurdle to get over next was 6 people, added my business partner who owns a 430 spider so two cars worth of owners at 3 persons per owner. The next will be to get into the salon and to do that our guest is ordering a car so that should be cool. still trying to figure out how to get on the test track... ;)

Joe, may be you are right, i'm not an owner so i wasn't there but i was just told by the son of my wife, he works there at GES, composite building, that you cannot visit where he works and they just do minibus tour for Ferrari owners on the road inside the factory and on Fiorano track. I asked him "if i buy a Ferrari, may i come to visit your working place with your mother?" he said "No, it's impossible".

I'm often around there and many times i saw those minibus with owners.

But maybe you are right: i will ask him again next time he will come home.

I visited Galleria Ferrari many times, the last one week ago, and it deserves a visit, sure more than a tour on a Minibus on Fiorano track.

I suggest to visit Toni garage in front of Ferrari historic gate (it deserves a visit) and to go by walk aside Fiorano track to look at the testing they often do there. Or wait for some mule or production cars crossing the big main gate close to Galleria del Vento.

    ciao

Well I certainly am looking forward to even the bus tour. I was told this tour is not the normal tour that is given to the general public. My dealer who sold me my 599 GTB wants me to trade the 599 in for a FF and then sell the FF so I can order the NEW car while I am at the factory and if I do that he will get me into the salon where the VIP car selections are made. I said no I cant do that but we have a Dr going in our group who will spec out a new car so we shall see if that gets us in.. As for a real test lap on the track I would be willing to sell my 599 GTB and get a "lesser" FF (saves money too) to be able to test drive it there. But buying two cars to drive the track is not an option if I can sell my 599 get a new car for the same money well that may be doable.

Monaco May 22 and May 23 going to try and get a lap on the closed course in my car. That one will be super hard t pull off but a little help from a former F1 driver we may be able to pull that bucket list line item off.

Roy I still want a ride in a cheeta thats on my bucket list to thanks to you.

I do not know the exact route and timetable from Bologna to Sant'Agata, but i think it will be in the afternoon, maybe at 16.00. I think they will do the strada Persicetana to San Giovanni in Persiceto and then straight to Sant'Agata, but who knows.
I will be at Bologna Piazza Maggiore in the morning and then will wait for the cars arrival somewhere in Sant'Agata. Hope to meet a lot of you all.

    ciao
