Is that the Dino restored by Wayne Carini? What a beautiful color combination

We don't recognize those funny machines in God's Own Country, but think it is the best place for shields.

Back in the day, I had these three at the house and a 1990 911C2 stashed in a garage a few miles away. (can't seem to dig up a photo of the 911)

I had EVERY possibility covered with those four. (except taking the dogs to the vet.)

    All departed now. :-(

    Dave,

Love all those cars! TR6 is like a dark stout Guinness, the M3 is like a white Riesling and the Dino is a deep rich Italian red wine. I have an '89 Carrera 4. It's the perfect "All-Weather"/"All-Road" machine! As a sports car, it's probably the perfect alter ego to the Dino. I agree, with those four choices, you've got every base covered! Great part is that outside of the Dino, the others are still really affordable!

Andres, what are your garage doors made out of?

I need to make some for a project, and they look perfect, or just....OK :)

    Regards, Alberto

    Hello Alberto,

I'm afraid those aren't the doors in the photo. They're vertical blinds that cover the windows on that side of the garage.

What I used were roll-up aluminum doors, seen in the photo below. I am sure you will be able to design something better, As I mentioned before, I like your garage a lot.

Thanks, Dignini. but it's a working garage! (I just take good pictures.)

Here's a good companion car that may be overlooked - the Series 1 Elise. Designed by Julian Thomson (a Dino owner and fan), it draws many styling cues from the Dino, including the side scoops and the front fenders. If you drive one, you will instantly be reminded of a Dino.

This was mine, but sadly I had to let it go in an effort to simplify. That's a view of the garage door from the outside, Alberto.

How does the series 1 compare to the series 2 in your opinion if you are saying to get the series 1?

I did not like the Elise when I first saw it in photos. It was more appealing in the fiberglass. And of course there is the sheer performance. The driver just thinks it, and the car does it. I'm a Lotus guy and just had to have it.

Michael, I think the Series 1 is the "purer" car, as the Series 2 departed a bit more from Thomson's original design (lowered door sills to aid entry, for instance). But they are all fabulous cars. Road & Track called it "the best handling car in the world." I believe that to be true.

Have you driven an exige before? How would you say the two compare?

Just once, Michael. the Exige is an incredible performer. A collector friend (he has a McClaren F1) remarked that "the best Porsche is the newest one." He was talking about performance, and his remark applies to Lotuses too. And Ferraris!

    Best,

    Andy

Did a bit of shuffling, to get Dino back on track...and at the same time not mess up the thread ;)

Andres, I had your garage confused with the Porsche pic. posted by Freeman...
Still, I am interested in the roll-ups you show for another app.
Did you find them in PI?
    Best, Alberto
