    That's not nice. :(

I know it's too late now, but if push comes to shove and you run out of options, PM me if you need a custom set of wheels made. I have a contact at Forgeline wheels and they can make a set of wheels to your custom specification. Not just custom offsets/sizes, I mean a custom design of whatever you need.

Sucks about the wheels but it should be a relative easy fix..

Love your thread and thanks for posting info, its great and very interesting...Are these wheels still available? and is there a non LM version for normal F40? I have a set of OZ LM rims that came off an LM that was in Australia but wont fit on standard car at all.thx

Yup, wheels came through Michelotto. The problem with genuine LM rims is that they will only fit on a genuine LM hub such as we now have. Originally the car was not running on genuine LM rims and so as a result, I have a perfectly good set of LM style rims which would fit on a standard hub.

Thanks Joe, everyone's enthusiasm is appreciated and I will endeavour to maintain it.

Don't know if this is of interest to many, but it is to me, as we have stripped the car we have found many small mods that differentiate this race car from a street car. Latest is that due to the far higher loads placed on the suspension through both the wider tyres, slicks cornering and braking loads, not only were the wishbones bespoke and strengthened (for sale if anyone is interested), but even the pick up points have all been beefed up, front and back as in this blurry example.

I was not planning on changing the colour of the OZ rims but as I am going to have to repaint them, I was thinking of maybe going to white, another classic Ferrari look. Thought about Gold but come back to silver or white.

    Any thoughts?

There was a Michelotto ''light weight'' F40 for sale for a while at FA Automobile in France and it had white wheels. Absolutely LOVED it. Definitely worth while IMO. It's a nice change from grey or black...

Only LM I could find with white rims is that blue one.
All the red ones have silver.
