Well, we got about half a foot of snow in the past 24 hours. So instead of driving the Ferrari, I was out cross-country skiing in the park behind my house this afternoon...
After all the continuous bad weather here we suddenly had 70f today in London. Sunroof open and off we went Started her up perfectly, put about $50 of fuel and drove everywhere and nowhere until almost empty, just loved it. Must have been out for 2 hours and on my way back was stopped by an elderly gentleman that was admiring the car and kept saying how he would never get out of it and drive it day and night in rain and snow (that was painful) and I almost felt compelled to take him for a drive. It's great get getting such honest compliments as we all know. Seriously I just can't get enough.
I'm sorry to say it but misery loves company Claude! My girlfriend has never had a ride in my Mondial yet, I'm dying to get the car out and take her for a drive in the mountains with the top down!
Thanks Mike, It felt so good By the way I reckon your Porsche project will be a real knock out, look forward to seeing the transition. Have you seen the new show called Wheeler Dealers Trading Up? Mike Brewer is starting with $3000 and will buy and sell cars from all over the world including the US and the idea is to make profit each time until he hits $30000 to buy a top end sports car. You will love it! Good luck.
Wow, no have not seen or heard of that! Can't wait for those episodes! Is it on Velocity Channel? btw, yesterday I removed the Boxster emblem, took out the old spoiler and installed the new rear pop up spoiler, looks incredible and still will go up/down! Should get my bi-xenon headlamp system this week, clear lens package, wooden shift knob! Its gonna look sweet after the Classic Gray paint job with racing stripes and a new PORSCHE chrome badge on trunk lid! Thinking about a hide away front license plate holder as well so the front end will always look clean at the CnC shows. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Mike, It's on Discovery channel here in the UK. The odd thing is that as he buys and sells each car around the world he converts everything into USD rather than pounds sterling. He's never done that before so my guess is that it will definitely be coming your way soon. Is Wheeler Dealers popular there in the US? Cheers.
Definitely a big following and now on every Wednesday on Velocity Channel -part of Discovery Channel family network. Great show, I first watched them on Youtube 3 years ago but now its all copyrighted and taken offline!
The Porsche looks really nice as it is already, well done! They are so well built, I had the 986 and 987 Boxsters and had amazing road handling, much better than my 911. Just watch out for the rear main seals that are prone to leaking. It's an expensive job Thanks.
That's great Greg, glad you are back home and enjoying the ride! The weather has been lousy here this week as well! Enjoy it when you can buddy! btw, any chance you and your family can make it to Palooza, you are (N) for now? Cheers
The Central PA Region of the Porsche Club of America is once again bringing its world-famous Porsche-Only Swap Meet to Hershey, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, April 20th, 2013. This is without exaggeration the largest event of its kind on the planet. It typically brings nearly 650 vendors, around 1,000 Porsches, and over 6,000 visitors from all over the world together in Hershey every year. Meet celebrities too! Darn, my car is not ready, maybe next year! 2013 Central Region PCA Porsche-Only Swap Meet, 4-20-13 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Mike, We will be in Europe that weekend unfortunately as I was really looking forward to meeting all of you guys and seeing your cars, plus was looking forward to an extended trip in the Mondi. Thanks, Greg
