That's interesting, none of the factory folks I've spoken with in the US even know this exists.

Is there any contact info in the brochure besides the lamborghini.com website?

I've just remind that I had a similar version of this flyer.

In fact it is a very similar one, except the 50th logo and without the Scorpion, CN72 & PZero Pirelli tyres update - and it is folded in 2 instead of 3...

    It is dated spring 2007...

What "factory folks" are you speaking to?

Although not widely publicized, the availability of these tires is well-known even amongst USA dealers, and several I know have simply ordered them through their USA dealer.

I recently received a brand new set of Pirellis, they exist.

For good measure, simply contact Valentino and he will hook you up.

Black with gold sills & wheels is quite special. This is the correct shade of gold.

No Uno. Just the car with the chassis number. I want it for my archive.

    Thanks in advance

He needs to sell his 917 and just buy an SV.

I'm not sure someone with a reported net worth of $800m needs to sell anything.

Meanwhile, whilst he appreciates a broad range of marques, he seems basically faithful to Porsche.

    But, you never know...

Most recently, COO Michael Lock ;)

I'm aware of the tires, and that there are some parts still in the computer system which we've purchased. But the standard reply when you ask about the factory's approach to vintage parts is that they are ambivalent. I understand that even Valentino doesn't have the level of access within the company that he once did.

Perhaps the factory is not of one mind on the issue though, as the brochure suggests.

    Hello,
Don'y know if we're speaking of the same car, but the orange Miura displayed on the BERTONE stand during Geneva Motorshow 2006 was chassis #4425.

This is strange I know, but there is something almost pornographic about this shot. What an amazing car.

Looking for help guys, does anyone have road test results from a magazine on the Miura SV? Finding Road & Track results from the P400 and P400 S is pretty easy.. but I have not been able to find anything on the SV.

    Thanks!

Andrew, did you try the magazine search engine on lp112.com?

I looked there briefly and it seems like the SV was overshadowed by early Countach coverage.

See page 182 of my book The Lamborghini Miura Bible |

The Miura SV was not tested by the major magazines when it was a new car circa 1971 - 1973. By then, it was all about the much more spectacular Countach.

Finally, in the February 1980 issue of CAR, good old Mel Nichols got hold of a RHD Miura SV, in this case chassis number 4814. He didn't test it electronically, but, he gives his impressions taking it up to terminal velocity.
