I'm hoping someone might be on that can give me a quick assist. I had an extra copy of my black 360 keyfob made by Gobble. I keep my 360 at a vacation home, so I wasn't able to test the clone out right away. Now I'm down here and finally able to try it - and it doesn't work! I unfortunately did not think to bring the original red or black keyfobs with me. I only brought the clone that Gobble made.

Has anyone had a clone made and is there a trick to get it to work? Does the clone start at the first code and need to be pressed a bunch of times to start generating unique codes maybe?

I also PMed Gobble but looking for some open help from the forum. I had planned to take the car in for several services tomorrow morning and don't want to be stuck. Thank you!

Even more awesome is that I tried just opening the door with the key to get inside the car and that set the alarm off. The siren stopped after a few cycles, but the hazard lights just keep on blinking, even after locking the doors again. Does the flashing lights ever stop or is my battery just going to wear down now? The battery tender is connected but I suspect it will lose the fight. Ugh, I feel pretty stupid for not bringing the original fobs with me!

To quote Eric355's clone instructions :

'the car will not react to the first actuations of the remote'

    Keep pressing

OK, good to know it might be a persistence thing. I've been pressing constantly for a bit now, must have a few hundred rapid clicks in. Might it be thousands? Or might I have to press and hold a while on each click? Just wondering if its a numbers thing and if I have to press and hold a certain amount of time on each click.

At least the siren and hazards have stopped going off, so my battery won't die before I can figure out if the fob works.

General instructions confirm the same thing, a remote which hasn't been used for a long time will be out of Sync - press several (five?) times within a ten second period to force a re-sync and you should be golden!

OK, I think maybe this is a big screw up on my part. I purchased the spare fob that I sent to Gobble and I think it might be a 433Mhz UK spec instead of a 315MHz US spec. I think that is my problem. Stupid me for not bringing both fobs with me. Oh well, the Cobra is going to get some top down time this weekend!

He would surely have recognised the incompatibility if that were the case.

It took over 200+ presses for one of mine to come back alive after not using it for over a year. Pull up a chair and keep trying!

FWIW, I had the same issue (briefly) with my cloned fobs, but I just kept pressing the button and alternating between short and long presses for under a minute or two and it suddenly worked -- unfortunately I'm not sure which presses did the trick. My only other suggestion would be to be sure you're right up next to the car, close to the antenna behind the seats to ensure the signal from the fob is making it to the unit in the car. Also, you might try changing the battery (in the fob) if nothing else works. Good luck!

When you have a cloned fob and it is your only back-up, the best technique is to swap between it and the fob that was cloned at least weekly to cut down on the number of button depressions to find a rolling code the Alarm ECU has not seen before. Better still, if you have another fob, like the red one, use that and keep the clone and original as back-ups. Nothing special about a red fob except the color of the plastic after initial programming is completed. The red fob cannot be used again to program the Alarm ECU to accept new fobs and the PIN in the red fob is never used again after initial programming.

I also had the " exact " same issue on a Gobble clone !
While we had an un-expected lost clone in the mail, Gobble will assist you and make things right. He has your code, so he can clone another FOB .... my recommendation "send it via UPS / FED- EX so you can track it .

    Good Luck !

Another fob will not cure the problem of the rolling codes. Gobble has a record of the cloned fob and can duplicate it, but it will be just as out of synch as the other fob.

I am pretty sure I screwed up and got a Euro 360 fob for the clone. I do have the original red and black fobs, just wanted an extra. I am going to buy another black one, this time from gobble. and have him program again.

I cleaned the contacts, changed batteries, and tried short and long presses. My antenna is good to at least 20 yds, so that isn't it either. Thanks for the tips!

I will update the thread if the new clone fixes the issue.

Can somebody tell what the number stamped on the silver (dime looking) part in the FOB that is US and what the number is for a European FOB?

Fairly sure the data is in the main fob cloning thread in technical q&a and was probably also transferred into taz's master fob document

I think this is a standard issue with Ferrari key fobs. After sucessifuly getting my key fobs programmed by gobble, over the winter break I had to press the button on both key fobs around 150 times before they both were synced back in

I thought this thread sounded nuts until the the same thing happen to me this weekend. Gobble reprogrammed my 2nd fob and I did not use it for 6 months. I counted more than 200 presses sitting in a chair in the garage tonight when the car started to chirp. Unreal..

Advice to those expereincing this issue "Press on".

It's possible you are having the same problem I had. I had a Euro spec fob instead of a US spec fob. They are physically identical, but have a different radio frequency they run on.
