It was one of the last Toyota's.

However, they were whining it was a little out of date and were looking for some thing newer, don't recall if they found it (?)

    Cheers,
    Ian

Thanks! I love this place. Never have to wait very long to learn new stuff.

    :) We aim to please.....

Anyone know if they have replaced the TF108(9?) with something newer? I recall Hembery talking about it over the winter but dunno if anyone "gave" 'em anything?

    Cheers,
    Ian

    It's a TF109.

I don't think they have yet. I wonder what the complaints are about? My only guess would be short wheelbase...

They switched to a Caterham but found the Toyota faster.

    ;)

    Links?....

You're causing my (distant) bells to ring a little too... 2010 Caterham maybe? Back to back with the TF109 (thx ;)) it wasn't the "platform" they wanted IIRC.

The (Malaysian) boys in BRG do seem to have regressed alarmingly thus far. :(

    Cheers,

    Nah... ;)

I'm almost certain Hembery went looking for a more "modern" car last off-season. IIRC, it has to be >3 years (?) old and allowable jockeys are "limited".

I'm almost sure Caterham were in the frame though.

    Cheers,
    Ian

You never know. That little bit of data might have been lurking unrecognized in a recess of my noggin.
My mind is largely Terra Uncognito. (Sic)
