I'm hoping to ready my Mondial T for spring, sometime in the next week or two. I was planning to do my own fluid change (oil, gear and AF) but just in case I run out of time...

Who do you guys use or recommend out in the western suburbs for fluid changes?

    TIA

I would focus on the oil. The gear oil can last for several years. The AF, also can last probably longer than you think.
Service in west burbs would probably be Euroquipe in St. Charles. I know they had serviced Ferrari in the past. (Euroquipe - Chicago area BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, Specialists)

Also consider Continental in Hinsdale. Probably a little more money, but good guys to give your car the once over look.

Thanks for the tip, Johnny. I will give them a call and see if I can get a slot, I'm sure they're probably getting busy

The shop that did my major last spring suggested all the fluids, I'll re confirm that because, like you, I felt it was overkill. They offered to walk me through it via video chat, I have a four post lift so it would be easier but time may be a factor for me.

Fluid Motor Union seems to be a good shop. Not sure where their location is in connection with you. But they may be a good shop to call.

Thanks guys, if I don't end up doing my own, I'm taking it to Reina International in Brookfield, WI. Drive time is the same as to Continental and less than LFSC. The father & son team are good people, they did me a PPi once and it helped me dodge a bullet.

FYI - synthetic oil & filter change and safety inspection on a 348 motor -

    LFSC - $350
    CAS - $350
    RI - $125

Euroquip - never got back to me.

Good to know. Euroquipe had lost their Ferrari guy, or that's what I heard. Don't know if they will stay away from Ferrari at this point, but not getting back to you is just poor business practice.

That said, he HAD posted his original query after 8 pm and Euroquipe hadn't responded by a bit after 3 p.m. the following day. Sometimes shops ARE busy or (if contacted via phone) the message may not have been received in a manner that would allow a return call...

I just say that because people call my shop (not auto-related) all the time & leave a voicemail that doesn't link to a caller ID and is completely unintelligible.
