She has died so that others may live...

I actually really enjoyed the video. The car was clearly a total. Better she should be painstakingly disassembled to replenish the supply of parts for our cars, rather than put in some salvage yard.

    Great video.

    Thanks

The car seems rebuild-able. Was it declared "totaled" by the insurance company perhaps?

Insurance companies have little appetite for launching into a major repair.

It quickly exceeds the market value, on all but the newest Ferraris, allowing for 'diminished value" and so forth.

If I had the time and space.... I would acquire it; ship it down to Mission, TX (I have family there) and have a go at it!

BTW: USGP Tickets and Ferrari corral parking tickets are available as of now. ;)

At about :27 into the video it shows the exhaust pipe with what looks like an embossed cavallino rampante logo badge on the side and at 3:34 where they remove the exhaust it doesn't appear to be OEM. I have never seen or noticed a logo before on pipes on other TRs/512TR/512Ms with OEM or aftermarket exhausts. Anyone with insights?

    very nice video

    but I wonder:
it seems that the frame of the car still is ok? so if this car would be mine I would put all body parts away and put on polyster or carbon body parts ( not TR ) so it would be a complete other car but with all the TR technic.

also: why does they remove from the engine all parts? sure, if they sell it in parts they may get more money.

but those who need a complete engine would also be proud to get an engine just to put it in the car and not to work long time to put those parts from the old engine to this then. and for this he also would pay more I think.

While most of the damage would appear repairable. The roof is partially crushed and I am sure the A pillar is compromised. For me, that would be a no go in terms of rebuilding.

That car was in pretty bad shape for 4x,xxx km. I wonder what the story behind it was. Again, I think changing a few body panels and fixing the rest would have been a better decision

Well done video, sure tugs at your heart but probably for the best as the car looked tired.

I don't ever wanna see a video like that again. Don't have a problem with a car being parted out but seeing it. No more. Watching that video was like bleeding out.

I second, I suspect a roll over (or something big falling on it??)....that frame is no longer trued up....

Again, many many labor hours to jig up, confirm and/or deny that fact.
It's all about spending the money.

Well, in a sad way, that is adding value to our TRs...its one less for sale. Wouldn't it be interesting to know how many cars had met their fate and how many remain?

I enjoyed the video, not seen anything like it before. The music was very Terminator-esque.

Man, that was tough... Many say it is just car and I say you are wrong. For some of us, it is love at first sight. I was lucky enough to be alive after a big rig 18 wheeler tried to kick me off the road while taking over a bus and crossed over to my lane. I feared for her being totaled and end up just like her sister in the video.

Mine was a lucky one. Now, she is getting cosmetically fixed by the best in the business Dave at Premier Motorsports. I can't wait to have her fill the garage space once again. For me, it is not just a car... it is sexy Red Head... it is that simple!

Never seen one. Aftermarket for sure. Some people will put a Cavallino on anything. But they usually own replicas.

It looks like a nice touch, especially if they are embossed. I persoanlly WANT those pipes.
