I had GENUINELY been following Russell's ordeal with his FI car. Most side with him and some side with the seller....all understandable arguments. The thread quieted down for 3 months. And maybe I should have just PM Russell as we had in the past.
BUT dickehead dumbdrunk Roy posted this when I asked: "Been 3 months, anything going on?" with the car?

The post had nothing to do with Roy.
Well, that woke up nasally voiced wienis Allan to say I never contribute anything and banned me. Allan has been humping me about Joe for months and months but was left frustrated and limps when I wouldn't jump on the hate-Joe Sackey-bandwagon.

But he should look at his recent post about Leatherique....I was the first to suggested it to him when he asked months ago. Contribute that decalboy.
I also informed him of the many PM's, emails, and phone calls of thanks over the years that I had gotten.
I was disappointed as I had made many friends over the years. But we all know what's happened with that site over recent years. I don't think Allan liked it when I brought to his attention that most of the long time Countach members are gone solely because of him.

Speaking of interior material, is there an official name of the mouse hair material from the old cars? It's not alcantera, correct?

 

I convinced my wife that it is actual mouse hair.

She told her friends at the show that the LP400 that was next to my car had real mouse hair for a dash board. You should see when the wine started to flow how the conversation about mouse hair got. One girl said oh my I wonder how many mice lost their lives to that dash. lol

PITA DISCLOSURE.... NO ACTUAL MICE WERE HURT BECAUSE OF MY POST.

So the headliner is "mousehair" in the older cars?

 

You will need a Countach expert to help with the timings/models but at some point the same material was used on the Countach headliner as was used on the Silhouette seats and headliner. For the Silhouette this came in two colours - beige for cars with senape door cards and grey for cars with nero door cards. Here are a couple of pics.

Peter, I have no idea what the correct name for mouse hair is but it is not Alcantara. HVL in Netherlands are making it in black using the old machinery but with fade proof dyes. Bruno Paratelli told me he uses the reverse side of Alcantara to replace mousehair which is a respectable match.

 

RHD or LHD and colour?
