FYI, Ferrari of Austin is organizing a track day at COTA of 5/24-25. I have been dying to get on the track as every other DEs have been sold out the moment they were announced, this time around I think I got in. Price is pretty steep but from the feedback of the last event, it was well worth it. Anyway, wanted to pass it on to the folks that didn't receive the mailing - contact Jessica at 512-380-0231.

Will it be a ferrari only event? Very cool track I raced it in march with scca. It was my first time on a real F1 track. The track features are very unique to what I have experienced right down to the how the painted runoff areas effect your brain.

She's the receptionist at FoH, I doubt it matters, Jason.

It's worth it, it's a wonderful track by all accounts.

I noticed they put some of the stars "back on", (painted out by F1 demands) that must be wild!!

I suspect the event will be in the $2-3k per driver range. The track is truly great and surprisingly forgiving of mistakes. Do not be a hero and charge into the esses, especially 4-5, as the real estate for runoff is limited there.

It's not a club sanctioned event, the dealership is organizing it - $2250 per day.

I'll be there Friday 5/24, but not Saturday.

It would be interesting if they left the "short course" configuration form V8 Supercars the preceding wknd, but I would think they'll have it back to normal.

    Should be great.

    Who else is attending?
I called up Jessica and she's filled up her instructor pool for this weekend.

redcar1 - for a moment there, I thought you had raced yesterday during the V8s. You probably have the record for most podiums at COTA.

after watching the V8 and WC races this weekend, I'd like to drive the short course. someone on the WC webcast described it as a "street circuit with runoff room", sounds good to me :)

It is an awesome track with many turns and late apexes (I was there about 2 months ago with the Lambo club). I like this track even better than the Mont Tremblant circuit. I have not participated in the Risi organized event at COTA but from what I heard it is very good. This is their 3rd event at COTA. Jessica is very nice. She used to work at the store in Houston.
