the driver's side window switch will allow the passenger side window to go up but not down. If I reach across the car the passenger side switch operates both up and down.

I'm guessing it's the switch on the driver's side but want to make sure I'm not missing something simple.

Any one else run into this issue?
cheapest place to source a switch?

    Thanks.

Had the same problem on mine. New one from eurospares is about £15

Nb you can always swap with one of the other switches to make sure just in case it's the wiring in the door loom but tbh most likely the switcg

Thanks. I was in there mucking around with the wiring sorting a speaker issue so I'm wondering if I screwed up something in that connector. But really? 2 wires 1 for up and 1 for down in that switch?

I would definitely swap the switches first to make sure its not in the door jamb wiring. If you do need a switch they are generic window switches which you can find on ebay.

I would bet its in that door jamb wiring since it was just working. I'll have to pull the panels and figure out the colour code of that switch.. then trace it down that stupid harness. I bet I find it's a connector loose.

I told the g/f I didn't need to hear music from that stupid speaker.. LOL ;)

    Update - partially sorted.

Pulled the door switch... same behaviour on the other switch. So as I suspected, it was at the door.

Sure enough Yellow/Black was broken at the door jamb. temp connect and it's working again. I ordered some new pins today and will properly sort it next week. I'll also verify the pin connector.. I think it's #21.

It's been a good day of Ferrari DIY repairs.

I am having a similar problem, but not exactly the same as yours.

The passenger side window will not work from the driver side unless I use the passenger side switch first for a second or two, then it will work from the driver side.

I haven't had a chance to investigate yet but it sure is a strange one.

That door post connector will torture you with each wire failing when it wants, and usually at the worst time. If you pull off your front wheels and then remove the fender liner near the door post you will find the bundle of wires heading for the door. Remove the lower outer door panel with the strakes and you'll find the bundle in the door. Get a bunch of wire, soldering iron and heat shrink tubing, have a seat, put on some music and connect the wires together. The wire colors match up, so it's not tricky, just takes a while, but then you're cured.

I'll add a few notes: most of the wires are pretty thin gauge, if you use all 16 gauge wire to connect them, you'll have a hard time stuffing your bundle through the rubber bellows etc. You need a few pieces of 16 gauge, but most wires are 18 or 20. There are more elegant ways to do it, but I just drilled out the center of the connector where all the pins are, and just ran the new connecting wires through that hole.
