Thanks Larry. There are actually 9 (Eleven if you include the warning lights for low gas and oil pressure. Here is my post from the "other" site that includes the link to the place where I bought the bulbs:
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just replaced my old incandescent instrument bulbs with the LED units. WOW!!! Talk about a night and day difference!! When I drove the car at night, the instrument lighting was so faint, I couldn't read ANY of the gauges!!

Both photo's were made with the Rheostat turned all the way up. I used my Nikon D7000 on a tripod with remote so I could have a longer exposure that really showed the differences.

Thanks again to RomanDad for doing all the research and finding the correct bulbs that are literally "plug & play".

Here is the URL to the place RomanDad used. They are only $2.59 each. You will need 9 bulbs (1 each for volt, oil temp, oil pressure, water temp & Fuel level gauges and 2 each for the Tach and Speedo gauges). Also, you can replace the bulb for the little red light in the oil pressure gauge and the the light for the low fuel if you so desire which means you'll need 11 bulbs. I left those 2 alone since they were bright enough to see with the standard bulb.

194 LED Bulb - 4 LED Wedge Base | Miniature Wedge Base LEDs | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs

I went with "Cool White" and the 90 degree beam.

The rheostat still dims them all the way from "Retina peelers" all the way down to where they are so dim it reminds you of what it used to look like!!!!

Larry, also change the dummy light bulbs while you're at it.

Just don't change the running light (green) it's annoyingly bright, and the turn signal indicator.

Thanks Mike. Did you start a thread about this? What does it take to get back there to do the upgrade?

Oh trust me, you'll have fun! LOL!!!

I actually laid on my back, with my head down by the brake, clutch pedals and my feet up on the back of the seat, so I could get a clear view of the backside of the gauges! It was the only way I could really see to get my hands up in there. :)

The Tach, Oil Pressure and Speedo were really easy to do. The worst was the far right (fuel gauge). But you can do it. :)

Thanks Mike. I'm off this week so I'm going to give it a whirl.

Quick question fellas. I understand that the body panels are aircraft grade aluminum and the underbody was fiberglass. What are the front spoiler and side rakes made of? Fiberglass? Where did these aftermarket Euro versions come from? The factory or aftermarket? I've been curious as I been looking at pics of my car from its original USA DOT-ized look. Also, would someone please measure the gap between the spoiler and the body panel in the front. Mine seems generously spaced at the moment. Might try to adjust that this week.

i purchased euro front ends from the factory but there was at least one guy on ebay who made a mold from a "genuine" part and made his own to sell. My friends car has a replica euro front on it and you would never be able to tell. As far as fit i think it goes with every other detail involved with a hand built car.

Wow fellas. I was blown away yesterday when my dear 12407 won Best in Show at the Cool Cars for Cats and Canines car show held yesterday at the Antique Automobile Club of America in Hershey! I was so excited and still am. What an honor. More than 150 wonderful cars were there. All I can say is "Wow!" I'm so genuinely happy.

    It's All Good! :)

Thanks buddy. I have no idea. The Museum has been featuring Porsches and that 959 was one of the ones exhibited. Maybe for holding down posters which were made and displayed inside discussing that amazing car.

Thank you. Another kid was totally smitten over her, having told me he wrote a 6 page story about Lamborghini. He was the one kid who had a really special day. He probably knows more about Countaches than I do. He was totally thrilled. He thanked me 20 times and his mom told me how much this photo meant to him. She said he will be talking about this day for months.

    From his mom today:

    Dear Dr J,

I can not thank you enough. You have no idea what you did for Jared on Saturday. I am a single mom trying to teach Jared how to be a man. That morning we went back and forth with each other struggling to speak the same language. We covered topics like school and grades, his attitude lately, he thinks I am comparing him to other friends when all I am really doing is pointing out examples of being a gentleman and integrity. He is leaving in about 1 month to spend the summer and possibly live with his dad in Ca. The conversation you, Jared and your buddy had made his day. His research and love of the Lamborghini enabled him to intelligibly talk trash about the cars. He loved that! Then after you received Best in Show, he wanted to congratulate you. He has been wanting a ride in the car for 2 years. Lately, he said, "If I could just sit in a Lambo, that would be so cool." He came home and changed his Facebook photo and emailed you. He is still just as thrilled as he was on Saturday. Thank you for encouraging him to do better in school. Sometimes, the message is received better from a different messenger. Thanks again for allowing him to sit in your car. You definitely affected my son in a positive way. I am so grateful for that. Hope to see you again in future car shows:)
