    Hello my Aussie friends,

I recently got an LM002 EFI
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/lamborghinichat-com-sponsored-lamborghini-houston/405555-i-bought-my-first-lamborghini-unicorn-2.html

    Both my ECUs has error.
I sent them yesterday to Melbourne (Tigersoft) for re-soldering, but I may need a full comprehensive check/repair.
Anyone in the board knows a good ECU repair shop in Australia ?
I will be there for a vacation on May 9-18 so that I can pick it up myself.

    Thanks for Your attention.

    Cheers,
    Taffy

You could try getting hold of carl888 with a PM,he is pretty clued up on who's who in that type of thing.

    Thanks Simon, John.

The ECU is old Magneti Marelli .. theoritically I just need someone with decent ECU experience. Will try to look for both.

    Cheers,
    Taffy

    THAT'S the bloke I meant.
Spoke to him a few years ago when he was trying to sell his(I think) father-in-laws' Espada.
Hell of a nice bloke over the phone.

Have a look on Magneti Marelli Dinoplex Repair and Restoration Documents . They list the LM002 as having an AEC 104 B-780: Lamborghini Countach, Lamborghini LM002. This is the same unit as used by 512bb/i Boxers (only a different rev limiter). I have seen under the covers on these units and they are potted with resin, making them near impossible to repair. One of the members on Fchat has replaced the internals of his boxer unit with the MSD-6AL-2 conversion listed on the Dinoplex site.
I hope this has been of help

    Hi Taffy,

I have spoken to several people about this:

Injectronics said that they can strip the laquer and resolder the unit, cost is $150 each, but they can not test them.

Paul from Sports and Classic Car services said that they are not Magnetti Marelli ECUs, but were made by Lamboghini themselves. He said he worked at Lambo at the time. He said that when they fail, it's best to throw them out and buy new ones. I have asked him to get me a quote on some new units.

I was not able to find Cark Rhienburger as was suggested on Ferrarichat.

That's as far as I have gotten so far, let me know how you would like to proceed

    Second E-mail :

    Hi Taffy,

I also spoke to Competition Services, they were not able to help, but were going to see if they could find someone who could, hopefully they ring back next week.

I also spoke to Paul from Sports and Classic again, he said he had seen your posts on the Vintage Lambo forum. He said he can get the ECUs from the USA, cost is $5200 each!!!!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So ... my ECUs are toast !
    RIP :(

I guess it is time for Haltech :D
Haltech Ps2000 is $2700 installed incl Dyno, compared to $10,400 for Lambo originals
