Wow what fantastic cornering speeds. I wonder what the lap times were seeing as they were at Monza without the chicanes.

I got to watch it at Sebring this year and it made very little sound. Nothing like the sound in that video. Of course I'm taking into consideration that at Sebring
it doesn't reach the speed shown in the video where I watched it at and the acoustics of an empty track that " captures " the sound as opposed to the open airport setting of Sebring.

The photographer in me senses that in the video the sound was captured once and then was used over and over for each scene.
Same sound, same duration no matter where it is on track. If I'm right than there is some trickery done in that video to enhance the presentation.

However, there is no denying that it is incredible and I'm glad I got to see it :D

    Incredible video(s), very well done.

As we see, Audi continues to invest huge sums into winning at Le Mans with the
development of the R18 TDI E-Tron Quattro.

They're already set to test 2014 spec tires at the Le Mans test so they're fully
committed to the WSC and Le Mans for the future.

    Thanks for posting JG.

Yeah, it's a pity racing at Monza has to take place with those ridiculous chicanes introduced to please the FIA.

I am in favour of reducing aerodynamics on cars and getting rid of chicanes.

Maybe, but is it not boring when the same make keeps winning over and over again?

Just for that reason, I hope Toyota beats AUDI and more challengers enter Le Mans. Porsche?

Obviously, competition is always healthy, even Audi admits that.

When I interviewed Tom Kristensen at Sebring, he mentioned that when Peugeot came in
and how serious their commitment was, going so far as to compete at Sebring even though
there is no market for them in the U.S.

Competition fuels the new technology which, right now, is astounding. Audi bringing in
the R18 TDI E-Tron Quattro with hybrid and the Toyota TS030.

Porsche don't get involved in top levels of racing unless they have a decided advantage
in the rules, they've been looting F-1 engineering and design talent over to their program
and Mark Webber is all but signed so there will be challengers to Audi's domination.

This year's Audi best SPA qualifying lap was just 4/5 seconds behind last year's f1 back runners over a 2 min lap

    Amazing

Toyota are staying at least to 2015. That makes 3 factories. Then Nissan has their electric lmp1 in next years LeMans as the 56th entry.

Probably one of my favorite racing experiences was watching Alan McNish claw back into the lead at Road Atlanta against Peugeot. ALMS just doesn't have that action.
