Dear all, I just received this letter from the organization stating that a concorso d'elenganza will be held during the Grande Giro. I think I will attend. Will some of you do the same? "Dear Guest, we are delighted to invite you to participate at the Concorso dEleganza Lamborghini 50° Anniversario, which will take place in Piazza Maggiore, Bologna, on the morning of 11 May. Participation is open only to cars registered in the Grande Giro and is free of charge. Cars will be divided into classes arranged by model, starting from the first car put into production, the 350 GT, until the last version of the Countach. Judging process: - 8:30-10 AM first group of classes. - 10-11:30 AM second group of classes. - 11:30 AM cars parade and prize giving. Each class of cars will include a minimum of 4 vehicles. All guests will be required to be present during the judging process in order to facilitate the work of the Jury. Therefore, each participant will be directly convened according to judges schedule. The first three classified of each class will receive a prize, and other special awards will be given during the celebration. The Jury will be headed by Adolfo Orsi, Chief Class Judge of the FIVA Trophy at the Pebble Beach Concours dElegance since 1999. A team of knowledgeable judges will check the authenticity and the condition of the vehicles. The Best of Show winner will receive a watch supplied by Lamborghini 50th Anniversary Main Partner, Blancpain, during the gala dinner at the Lamborghini factory."

Gentlemen, My friend and celebrated bon viveur Nelson Tang is bringing his Miura SV, 4818, ex Rod Stewart, from Hong Kong. I am privileged to be riding shotgun. The only job is fishing the jammed cassette out of the period radio and sticking in a copy of "A Nod's As Good As A Wink..." I expect we'd love to catch up with you all. Hi Jasper, all 2013 cars are suppose to come with them badges - so not unique to the specials. All the ones at Geneva in March had them fitted. Regards David.

I'll do that, but the Lambo way ... It is my party, but you have to bring the girls, and pay $1000 per hour. Drinks not included. You also have to bring that yourself, just as the food. If $1000 is too much for you, I offer half the fun for $600. Oh, and subscribe and pay in advance, and the girls have to be checked by me prior to entering (pun intended)

I know by now, thanks all who pointed this out to me. Nevertheless I have seen a couple of Aventador Roadsters (2013 cars without a doubt) that did NOT have them fitted. Also have seen them WITH. Also have seen recent Gallardo's without them, DLA vin, so 2013. Done many factory tours already this year, seen the cars on the line, seen them come off, seen them parked in front of the factory, WITHOUT the badges... So my GUESS is they started fitting them for cars delivered in May, regardless of what the press release says. We're in Italy, it's Lamborghini and I might even be mistaken anyway
May I ask where you got these DVDs from please? I was at the 30th Anniversary and would love to have a 'moving' record of that event rather than just the still photos I took. I would also like to get the 40th Anniversary DVD as well. I didn't attend it, but I would still love to see it. Cheers, Paul
I bought them years ago on ebay.de, they are not high quality DVDs but they are anyway nice to watch. 30th featuring some really good sounding Countach, and F1 cars driven without helmet
