Should I Take My 458 Spider to Church Tomorrow

The minister is a real car buff. Hails from England. Is dying to see the new Fcar. Asks about it every Sunday.

Most of the parishonsers will not be impressed but the Porsche seems to be positively received.

Conspicuous consumption seems to be out since the depression started. People live in multi-million houses here but somehow think that driving a Prius is somehow socially responsible. Nobody else even HAS a sportscar of any kind.

My standard explanation: you don't want to be late for church, do you?!

 

Ok. go early. don't fall asleep during mass...say your hail marys, donate more than usual & enjoy a beautiful Sunday with your better half and your new toy.

 

OK. For penance I will say three hail marys and one our father. Plus, I will park the car where it can be seen but not dinged or run into.

Driving the 458 it is pretty much a sure thing that I will be at Mass early. And you get a better parking space!

First Sunday of the month breakfast is served between the 8AM and 10AM Masses. It will be a big turnout. Parking will be at a premium. Street parking. Important not to park under trees. Sap.

 

Do it, i drive mine everywhere weather permitting, it lights people eyes up just to see the car and especially when you are humble and talk to people about it. Remember we are the lucky ones!! and as long as you are not a cocky ****** just think of all the extra prayers that will said for you not get hurt in the car or even more get a scratch on it.......

 

If the Pope can have an Enzo, you can show up in and 458.

I take mine every Saturday, everyone seems to really enjoy seeing it, especially the kids.

 

Look at it as another opportunity to evangelize. Go to church, get a Ferrari!

 

Isn't envy one of those sins??? No one would dare give you **** in a fit of envious rage at church!!

Back when I was at boarding school, in the school chapel, they forced muslims to pray to our God each day.

Ouch.

So bringing your expensive car to Church can't be bad.

Doesn't God teach us not to be jealous anyway?

 

The positive side is if the dads know the 458 will be at church more will show up with the kids. Its a great way to increase donations to our father in heaven.

 

Drive it. It may be subtly included into the sermon (reap what you sow).

 

It may trigger an audit of your tithing.

I'm not a church go-er, but I would think church is one of the worst places to show up in an FCar.

Church will want more $, parishioners will think you have a complex, everyone will hate u. LOL

Yeh, 2000 years ago and a beautiful woman to ointment him all the time. Can't say what is more luxurious? Church always likes luxury! So lets go to church on our Ferraris because we will be forgiven for sure.
