After endless deliberation I have specced my car today trying to be realistic as possible on price as it is too easy to go overboard.

    Short listed schemes:

    1. Grigio Ferro with black leather, charcoal alcantara accents, Daytonas, CF detailing and Grigio standard wheels

    2. Grigio Ferro with beige leather, black alcantara accents, CF detailing, Daytonas and Grigio standard wheels

    3. Grigio Silverstone with beige leather, black alcantara accents, CF detailing, Daytonas and standard wheels

Anything with Grigio Ferro worked out about $15k more and to me it was not worth it, you need, I feel, to keep the extras down on this car. So settled for:

    My old friend Grigio Silverstone
    Beige leather
    Daytonas with black alcantara inserts
    Black alcantara door panels
    Black alcantara roof lining
Carbon fibre steering wheel with LED's
    Carbon fibre drivers zone
    Carbon fibre dash
The ridiculous Carbon fibre cup holder (I am hating myself for this mindless expense)
    Shields
    Beige leather central tunnel
    Yellow recounter
    Standard wheels
Tyre pressure, parking sensors etc all standard fit.

The only question is silver wheels or medium grey painted?

Any thoughts and comments appreciated and Lone Wolf, your fault.

Are they going to fix the issue you had with your shoes?

Ferrari has visited the dealer and seen there is a genuine problem which is now apparently going back to the factory for a general mod for all RHD cars. If they haven't, when I come to collect it, I will take the plane back.

i love the spec except for the daytona seats. the regular seats are so much better IMO. but its going to be an amazing car either way. congrats.

Thanks, but I seem to have an affair with Daytonas. Had them in Boxers and a Daytona Spyder and maybe it is a link with the past but I just think they look great and much prefer them to the standard seats. Also I wanted a bit of black in the middle of the car to break it all up.

Have you considered Cuoio instead of Beige?

    They owe you one!

Honestly, after they screwed up your wheels, they should be more than thanking you.

What are u referring to re the problem and mod for Rhd cars?... Is that ref your spider or the f40 project... Went back through your posts but other than getting the wrong wheels on the spider cannot see any other ref to this... Intrigued by what it relates too...

RHD F12's have an issue when swivelling your foot, assuming size 9.5 or above, from the accelerator to the brake, as your toe scuffs the underside of the fascia and is then prevented from going any further by two proud fasteners and it literally stops you getting to the brake pedal. A real frightener especially in a car like this.

Mr Mayor, not only did they mess up on the wheels, they gave me the wrong interior details as well!

Yup. Second time I have tried to convince myself to go with cuoio and personally there is just too much red in there.

Thanks Traveller...wow that indeed does sound scary...would be no good with my size 12's then, looke like I made the right decision going spider rather than F12!!

So what do these cars cost, ballpark wise? Under 400k I hope?

Don't need lift and never had it as no steep driveways to negotiate. Hi fi upgrade I will only ever order in a convertible where you possibly need it due to lack of cabin confinement to retain the sound.

Correctly specced, tax paid in the UK, $400k is about right which either makes the 458 look expensive or the F12 cheap?

Downunder you'd be paying nearly double that! (for new anyway)

Enjoy getting the spec sorted and delivery eventually!

Doing another run home back from the factory? What month are you expecting?

Because I'd like an F12, I'd say it makes it look cheaper than a 458 :)

Congrats on your purchase btw .

Thanks Guys, looks like late July or early September. Ferrari being Ferrari, I am banking on early September and yes, another pick up as it is probably the best part of the ownership experience blasting your way back through the passes and roads of Europe. First time I did this was with a 246 GTS!
