How is a weekend trip with two couples in a 612 ? Comfortable , cramped ? How about luggage space , and how does it handle/perform with four adults aboard ?

    Sincerely,
    Edward

In large part, it depends on how tall everyone is. I did a two week trip with my wife, and our (then) 11 year old and 8 year old, and it worked pretty well. We were short on luggage space (had to put a bag between the kids in the back seat), but we had a good time.

For two adult couples, I would go with car with 4 doors, but that's just me.

For touring with just two people, the 612 is brilliant.

Great with two adults and two kids / teenagers, but I would think that it might get claustrophobic back there for two full size adults.

yeh the backseat is tight even with teenagers or little kids in boosters...unless the 2 adults are midgets...

Had 4 in the 612 last weekend and it was pretty good
Actually surprisingly comfortable ( as per the back seat passengers :)
In terms of luggage I think that will be very tough based on 4 occupants

    My 5 cents

Life is 2 short not to drive a Ferrari :)

You all must have short friends. Get a quattroporte or other luxury large four door (I am partial to the super V8/super sport jags).

Saw the new Quattroporte at an FCA event. It is giant - you could transport 4 linebackers in comfort for 500 miles. Or you could just buy an Infiniti because they now look almost identical.

When GT cars were created in the 1930s it was about fast traveling through large distances, for example Rome - Paris or similar. It was about FAST traveling and it was not about seates like in a modern S Class sedan.
If you buy a 2+2 you know that (rear) seats are not as spacey as in a sedan. BUT you do not want a sedan...
You want a Coupe and if you had to cary four people it will do fine.
In the 612 you travel with soft Shell bags and two children for easily 1 or even two weeks - assuming you are not going on skiing holidays.

Last weekend we took the 612 to SF and had my father next to me, my mother and sister in the back seats, and my fiancé on the center back bump.

    Was it cramped? Yes.
    Was it uncomfortable? Slightly
Will we talk about all 5 of us in a Ferrari in SF well into our 80's? YESSS!!!

    It was a blast!

Do you LIKE this other couple? Because if you do, you'll choose something like a Porsche Panamera for that kind of trip.

    Cheers,

    George

as long as the women are not taller than 5.5 and are not fat, then sitting in the back will be alright. also, given that they are women, they will need to use the rest room about every 1.5-2 hours like clockwork, so they wont have time to get that uncomfortable !

as for performance with everybody on board.....you might want to rethink your driving behavior or pack some airsick bags back there.

Did your fiancé keep asking you to drive faster over the expansion joints...and faster...faster!?
