"I am selling my Ferrari F430 replica that is based on a Peugeot 406 Coupe. The car is an absolutely stunning example of the real car."

OMG....apparently this guy never saw a real one. Or he's comparing it to one that hit a tree!

Authentic interior... With back seats. Chrome wheels and tires were a fortune... At the right revs, it sounds like the real thing? Wow, what makes it so bad is that they think its so good. And one of the worst wraps I've seen...

Always sounds wrong and stupid when someone says they've "invested" money into a car. The correct word should be "spent" or "sunk", or even better "wasted". How can one call such spending on a depreciating luxury item an "investment"?

Step one: stop calling it a car. It's a toy.

    I see your point.

I've always said that cars make lousy investments. Very few, if any, appreciate enough - ever - to recoup the purchase price plus maintenance and repair.

But I think that those who speak or write of "investing" money in a car they desire are talking of the benefits other than financial ones that come with owning a car. Why did I buy my Ferrari? It's a money pit, financially speaking. But I love it, I can afford it, and for some reason I always wanted one. It's about the pure joy of driving it of looking at it and hearing it, even smelling it, and knowing it's mine. So, it's an investment in something other than financial benefit.

Now, as for investing money in - or spending money on - or wasting money on - a fake car, I personally can't see it.

Toys are lousy financial investments. But so are cars.

Hmm... I see you are implying that this is not an original GT-40... what makes you think that??

That's probably a better use for the body than putting it on a VW pan...although the "40" in GT40 now refers to ground clearance.
