I really like the 80's era 911's, so am always casually browsing. I think this is about the perfect color combo....just stunning. Love the interior. Any idea of what it should sell for? Its restored, but to non-original colors and engine specs, so I'm not sure how much that hurts. Also no title but has bill of sale, etc.

No idea what it's worth, but IMHO it would look a lot better with period correct wheels.

Agreed. While we're on the subject, is the spoiler correct for a Weissach? My (fading) memory says it looked a bit different than this.

Still, if it's in good mechanical shape it will make a great car for someone. Sorry, don't have a guess as to value.

Wrong tail. Wrong wheels. Wrong interior. Wrong steering wheel.

A period correct car MIGHT fetch $30k. Maybe. On a really good day for the seller.

This Frankenstein car? Way overpriced at $25k.

Check out Porsche 911SC Special Weissach Edition - Home to see how the car should look.

I sold my Pongee Beige Metallic Weisach about one year ago for $25k. It had 80k on it but had fresh paint, fresh motor, fresh suspension, new leather...

The Weissach in the eBay had has almost everything wrong. It has a turbo tail, Carrera front valence, the rust color carpet has been replaced, the dash has been redone in the wrong color, wrong steering wheel, wrong wheels, front bumper has no headlight washers... It does have the correct cigarette lighter. lol

skip it and move on. if you want a weisach, buy a "real" one not that thing. I do think they are unique 911s.

I like the part about the "lost" title.

I'm jonesing for a late G50 cabriolet. I'd love to find one in that color without the whaletail.

It is hard to put a price on 1978-89 911's right now because there is so much up ward movement on them. For a "driver" car originality is not as important as to the collector and people who like to drive have discovered these cars.
I would price this car between 30K- 35K

84-86 has the 3.2 with the 915 trans, 87-89 the 3.2 with the G50. I had my 88 G50 for sale forever for $20k with 54k miles on it until some dealer bought it and relisted it for $29 or $25k. I would not put a lot of value on a 2.7 or a 3.0 as a driver. The 3.2's are damn near bullet proof.

The market has changed since you sold your car. You would sell it easier for more today.
The least sought after 911 is the 74-77 with the 2.7 which was at the design limits of that Mag. case engine. Even those or turning into 10K -15K cars. Of course we are not counting the RS
I do not under stand your view on the 3.0 cars at all. A 3.2 is a stroked 3.0. Same 930 aluminum case used in the turbo cars. Same cylinder bore and same materiel. Almost the same engine main difference is the crankshaft, Porsche even had to use smaller rod bolts on the 3.2 for clearance, so the 3.2 does not tolerate high revs like the 3.0.
A stock 3.2 is damn near bullet proof but a stock 3.0 is even more durable.
Best feature of the 3.2 cars is Porsche finally dropped CIS and went to electronic fuel injection. but a sorted CIS car works fine and make good drivers.

That specific car is wrong and not worth much. Horrible interior and not collectible at all with all the changes. I would not pay over 20k for it if that.

Much better to buy a stock 78-83 SC for 20k - 25k or a stock 84-89 for 25k - 35k. Prices have gone up lately but those numbers should get you an under 100k mile coupe in very good condition. Targa's are a good bit less right now.

Unoriginal but I like the interior . Be nice to have a steering wheel that's one color though. Great car for someone who just wants to drive. That story about the title would keep me far away though.

The steering wheel IS one color... he's got a sleeve over it. It probably gets really dirty without it.

Too expensive for "someone who just wants to drive" as you say.

He says it has a turbo body. It does not. Standard SC body.

Wrong speedo for a 1980. Absolutely no way of knowing the car's mileage. Can't do a Carfax on a 1980.

Agree that those wheels look like crap on that car. Needs Fuchs.

Get rid of the crappy looking radio.

He does not list the VIN... could be that it's not actually a Weissach.

    NO TITLE!!!
