## PAYMENT HOLDS YOUR SPOT ## Who: Invited Ferrari Owners What: Introductory Drivers Ed / Track Event - Ferrari's Only* When: Saturday October 5th 2013 1p-6pm ( Rain or Shine ) Where: Motorsports Ranch - Cresson Tx Cost: $150.00 payable to me directly, as I have already pre-paid the event myself. Etc: This event is geared for those that have either NEVER been on track in their Ferrari or have limited experience and would like a low pressure introduction. There will be classroom introduction and discussions. There will be plenty of Q&A time as well as an introduction to the basic principles of vehicle handling and dynamic's. We are limited to 15 cars per group, the second group will be from the Mercedes Benz Club The MB Club will alt with our group, while we are in class they are on track and while we are on track, they will be in class, and so on. Here is an example of the format: Classroom Introduction and Q&A session Lead and Follow session on track Classroom Session Faster Lead and Follow Classroom Session Open Track Classroom Open Track Directions to the track: From Fort Worth, go south on US 377 toward Granbury. About 14 miles south of Loop 820, you will come to a traffic light at Highway 171 in the town of Cresson. Go straight another 1/2 mile. The entrance is on the left just before the divided highway begins. Vehicle Condition / Requirements: Safety is paramount. It is your responsibility to ensure that your vehicle is capable of safely participating in this event. The list below offers a general list of important safety checks. This is a guideline only, and not a comprehensive list. Please inspect your vehicle and fix issues as necessary, or have a technician do it. - No Fluid Leaks. - Belts & Hoses adjusted and secure. - Battery Secure. - Brake pads 50% or better. - Seat Belts installed, secure, not frayed or cut. - Lug Nuts torqued. - Tires: at least 3/32" tread, no cuts, no bubbles. Other: Helmets are required. Some will be available for rent at Motorsport Ranch or you may bring your own. Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes which are comfortable for driving. No sandals, no flip-flops. Clear your car of all loose items in the passenger compartment and trunk so they won't be tossed around while you are on the track. I was thinking everyone could run some nice Italian olive oil in the crankcase, so that track clean up would involve black pepper and a baguette.

Steve. Do you know if the cars will need a working FM radio for track control? On a previous track day I attended they used the car radio on a FM setting for track control from the tower. Generally, "break up the parade", "car off track on whatever corner", or "car stopped on track". Passing was fine on the straightaways, but they were very cautious about cars bunched up (a parade) in the corners. It may have just been that particular group/sponsor on that day. Thanks, DRG Jerry

A Day off... um, I've only heard of a day off... never really done one though, what's it like? Tomorrow ( Saturday ) Concorso event is coming up fast... < wink > I will be pushing to get people signed up and paid at the event tomorrow so that when the October 5th ( Saturday ) event comes around everyone is signed up / paid up / and ready to have fun.
