It's cool now that there's websites to get the code for a few bucks. $3-$10 or so. You can also just drop by the nearest dealer and they have a form to fill out that gets sent to becker. I think it costs like $70 or something (could be more, don't quote me lol). It takes a day or two but they get the code back, and the dealer gives it to you but also permanently stores it in their computer system (usually) so if it happens again (power outage etc) even if while your car's at the dealer, they have the code handy to re-input, or if you experience power outage anytime you can call your friendly dealer rep and have them pull it from the computer for you. But all in all, the becker radio in the 360 is the biggest practical joke ever. It's like some puzzle that can never be quite figured out. I gave up a long time ago.
Gee, I paid the $8 dollar and was given the wrong code. I have a 430 and they gave me four digits. the code they gave me is 3093 the radio doesn't like the nine or zero. Can you help? Serial # 6105E3055004312 Would really appreciate it, if you can help

Am glad to hear others have this issue with the radio. I have been through the "code" thing and the "wait" thing. Luckily, I found the original code on some paperwork. Now I have it memorized like my social security number, so hopefully I will never have to pull the radio out to find the serial number. All this trouble, and the radio sounds like it is playing underwater. It is late, but I went out to the garage to take a picture of the code card to post here in case anyone is wondering what to look for when you are going through all the paperwork. ...of all the previous talk about these codes: When I got my 360 I made sure the car came with ALL these numbers. The radio does the same thing..."wait''...when turned on. I did that once. However, if some future ""250 SWB"" owner wants to get my radio working, its all there. I have started a binder with all previous services, carfax, codes, taped in the puller tools to a sheet of paper---all in a 3 ring binder with glassine envelopes. I know a little ocd, but the future owner will thank me. Besides when ever something, anything, gets done to the car, in the document goes and an instant filing system has been created for me in the present. Works on a few levels for me.

Hi, I have a 2000 Ferrari 360 and just had to install a new battery. My radio is now asking for a code and I called the dealer. They said they could not help me because my 360 is a Euro model. Can anyone help me with the code? Thank you in advance, Josh
I just found out the amplifier for my upgraded factory radio is out. Its a Becker Model 6112 serial number-75017388. After the shock of being told a factory replacement is $2300.00 from Ricambi ( for a 4x50w amp). The guys in the stereo shop asked me how much gold do I think is in it?? I said -none! I am replacing with an Alpine or some other brand(150-$250) that will fit in the factory housing under the radio so it looks stock. When its done I'll post the picture. Lost the radio code card with the PIN and I just sent somebody $3. in the UK I think, for the code but haven't heard back yet and I want to get this done this weekend, can anyone help with the PIN? Thanks for all the replies- but- isn't it a 5 digit code on the 430- its has 5 digits to enter on the screen my number options only run from 1-7 I sent the money to Plimus Industry ? Thanks again for your efforts. Bob
Scott, Now when I go to turn the radio on it says"device is disabled turn ignition on" and when I do a digital clock starts counting down from 59 minutes? Do i have to have my ignition turn on for 59 minutes? everytime I turn it off and back on it starts again at 59:00 Hope someone can help - I have to go fill up with gas to run for 59 minutes versus drain the battery for 1 hr.
My calculator also chewed out 23131 and it can sometimes be +/-1 digit. The reason the "disable" has been activated is that the Becker radios are designed to do that to prevent some crook from just putting number after number to hack it. They figure that if they make the bad guy wait for some time, he'll get caught. When you put 3 incorrect codes into it, it goes to the countdown before it will let you put a new code in. Just the security measure. I haven't had it take an hour.. in the garage just put the key in, turn it to accessory position and let it count down. If you want plug the battery maintainer in while it does this go for it. It uses a small amount of current... Usually, not that this matters here, I plug mine into a 12v power supply while I try to get the codes right (bought a few off ebay in my time...). Edit: Bob congrats. Just read you got it working.. Bob: which code worked: 53131 or 23131? vrsurgeon: That's because there is 2 ways of working these codes out, for the above example 53131 would be an aftermarket becker, 23131 would generally be an OEM becker, as fitted in Porsche, Ferrari, Merc etc. Sometimes it's trial and error as to which code works.
