Reading in the rain?

The show must go on. There is no rain date, and really not a lot of places to hide out of the rain either.

Makes it a tough deal, but there are no contingency plans for bad weather.

Barry just did the detailing of a lifetime on her and the thought of ruining his masterpiece is something I cannot stomach.


Weather is 30% rain for Sunday on the most optimistic weather channels. Let's keep our fingers crossed that things get better.

Do you think Pietro would mind if I delivered my car in an enclosed trailer and then put a tent around it?

 

It has rained a few times. Once a few years ago it must have rained 4 inches. Jon Walton left the front spoiler of a Noble in a giant puddle getting out .

 

2 years ago the forecast called for rain. Alot of people stayed home and it turned out to be a great day. It rained in the morning hours and the rest of the day was perfect.
I can understand why some people would opt out. Ed Hogden for example..his cars are magnificent. And Joe Zaff..Mr. Anal
But some of us guys with modern day Ferraris owe it to the rest of the fans to show up.
Its a fun day and the rain wont melt us.

We get wet. It is a car it gets wet when you wash it.

 

I'll never forget the year that Len Rusiewicz drove his 375 MM to Reading in a downpour. If he can do it, the rest of us can make the effort.

 

I'm coming from MD rain or shine with my 348 ss and my daughter. She's looking forward to seeing all the Ferrari.

Hope it doesn't rain too much or we'll be pushing some cars off the lawn.

drive up for me had the most rain.
It definitely kept people away.
Overall just a few drizzles at the show and it turned out to be an ok day.

It's not the wet, it's the mud in the shoes that I avoid.

I brought booties from the OR to go over my shoes when I got back in the car. Turned out it was not bad. Didn't even need them.

Wayne both attended and showed cars at Reading before he became a celebrity. He is still a die-hard car(Ferrari) guy at heart.

 

I've got about 171 photos from the show. It was a great day, and pretty cool to see the F12 for the first time.

I vividly and fondly recall driving my 275GTS with the top down in the rain, being followed by by friend Michael driving my '01 550 Maranello. Lots of high fives from motorists going in the opposite direction and didn't get wet until I goth there and had to go through registration! Can't recall if it was 2002 or 2003.
Hey, they're cars and the get wet and dirty........no biggie.
