    Thanks, Allan.

Yes, these are my modern era cars. Just in the process of cleaning up the 456GTA. In the next couple of days will have it on the lift to clean the undercarriage and photograph. A process all my cars go through. Have a bunch of oil filters ordered via Recambi and will be sourcing the 5-40 Ultra Euro oil so that the oil can be changed...... Does it need it, probably not, but, oil is cheap in comparison to the issues brought on by old/used oil.

OK, back to the clay cleaning with Speed Shine and then the surface will be ready for polish.

    Best,

    DJ

Beautiful. Have the wheels/tires changed the performance of your car?

Thanks for the info, George. Any idea of a wheel/tire combo that will not effect overall performance and still fill the wheel wells?

DJ- OEM Ferrari 550 or 575M 18" wheels will work nicely with OEM 255/40 18 and 295/35 18 tires. You need a tire/wheel combination that is ~26 inches in diameter, like your originals, and the 550 and 575M wheels and tires, even the 19" 575M modulars, fit the bill. There are recent threads on this topic if you do a search. 19" Novitec NF2s fit, too, even though they are 9x19 F and 12.5x19 R.

    Thank you, tazandjan.

Buddy has a 575 and will be looking at the wheels on his car. If there are no overall performance issues when adding these wheels/tire combo to the 456, that most likely will be the way to go.

If the weather is good on Saturday, will drive it for the first time to our local C&C. Should be fun.

    Thanks again for your post.

    DJ.

Think these are the ones for me. Just really like the look and changes the impression of the car overall.

If you run across a set, please PM me.

    Thanks a Million!

    Thank you, Condor Man.

We are blessed to have some great cars in our collection. Through this hobby, we have made many contacts as well as friendships.

Currently, we are in the process of restoring a '63 356-B Cab and hope to have it on the road this coming fall. It will be a nice addition to our "Chrome Era" cars.

I have the 18" 550 Barchetta wheels, and they improve the looks of the car a lot. Plus, they are from the correct era. The 19" 575 modulars will fill the wells even better, but the 18's already harshen up the ride a bit from the 17's (Which are very smooth and quiet), so I'm not interested in those anymore. Plus, the 19's will make the stock 456 brake disks look puny. If you're going to go with the 19's, you might as well put the Brembo big brake kit on too, IMO.

    Cheers,

    George

Quite good, actually. They were lucky enough to pick up the chef from a highly-regarded local place when they lost their lease. The owner is a car guy and it's reflected in the decor. Cool place!

I just thought I would finally add a picture of my car with a change in rims. I have always liked the early 575 rims. Same size as the 550 wheels but with just a touch more design to them than the rather bland stock wheels.

The wheels were on he car when I bought it three years ago. I don't know the manufacturer but they look amazing in person. The car has won multiple awards since I've had it.
