Refinishing lug bolts?

    Is this an option?

    Mine are a mismatched set look like crap; are painted, some polished, some chipping chrome.

    Other than buying new bolts, are there any options?

    I was considering building a jig and stripping the finish and polishing them and clear coating them as a DIY approach.

    Factory ones are like $125 or something nuts...

    I bought a full set from Ricambi but have not yet installed them - they look very good!

    one of my friends is a vendor for various parts. He's suggesting a set of titanium bolts for that price.... hmmm

    Ordered mine from Ricambi. Arrived last week and look perfect. I had the same issue where a few where starting to loose the finish and show the bare metal underneath them.

    When you do order, though, the F355 is not an option in the drop down menu. So Daniel said to make sure that you specify that is for the F355 which needs the 52mm ones.

    Quick shipment too!

    I have seen that 52mm figure before. Is that the overall length, or just the shank length?




    The titanium bolts I was refering to:
    TiKORE INDUSTRIES

    they were more than I remembered, closer to the $5-600 range

    I think Daniel at Ricambi still remembers going through this with me a few years ago when I ordered Hill bolts from him for my former 355. Super service as always from Daniel! Here's the 355 OEM bolt ...

    I had mine rechromed...luckily a friend did it for free but I think the cost was about 10$ per bolt.

    +1 ....... I discussed a Ti 355 bolt design with Tikore a while back. I gave them dimensions for the standard 355 length and a longer length to accommodate a 12-15 MM spacer. In order to obtain a bit more 'lightness' I recommended a concave bolt top, as opposed to the stock convex bolt top.

    The end result was IMO a very nice looking design. Of course I had to custom order my set in ............... nero :cool: .......... back during the discussions, this design/color combo was agreed to be called 'the gothspeed design', in order to identify this 'look'. Here are some pics of my Tikore lug bolts, note the two F355 lengths (stock and spacer) :)
