I think the Miura belongs to the Japs, not too sure with that no plate but they are well represented in this event. We also have Taiwanese, HK & a group of Indons with the last taking rented cars that irked some of us in their rude driving behaviours.

There's a lone China publisher from Beijing whom we befriended & he was given a Gallardo for this event! They are organising a driving event for cars from 1930s to current starting from Beijing to Shanghai in October this year. Anyone?

Oh & he said that the Jaguar F type is fantastic, one of the best as he test drove it in Spain last month. A pity for us as it's overtaxed now

Thanks buddy, we must see your MCS up close too & come join us for meets one of these days, no fee, no president; just cars, women & food!

Haha we missed you, Fong does ^^

An American heiress, Sandra West was buried in her beloved '64 Ferrari 330 America (less than 40 built) somewhere in Texas. She was wearing her lace nightgown laid in the car then boxed up to be filled by concrete using two mixers 9feet below ground! Her executor was paid US$2million (1977 dollars) failing of which he still gets US$10K.

Think it'll cost more to bury in Singapore than your car's worth :D Try Australia :)

My BMW 523i is sold as it is a 2005 model. Reason for selling it off and not driving the car till end of COE is because the car feels tired, and I would not want to be paying for the gearbox dying on me soon as with its famous history for gearbox failure after 100,000km mileage.

My car is already at 123,000kms. So time to let go.

I was thinking of buying another car to replace the sedan function, but with everything in the car market going crazy and COEs up and down, revised ARF taxes, policies changing, premiums being irregular, loans moving in all directions, car ownership is getting stupid and crazy.

Buying a car at the right time may come, but a year later, you car's value dies because of some stupid policy that may spring up, COE goes haywire, taxes change etc......these are fluctuations that I cant be arsed to deal with.

So I am now looking towards going down the leasing route. Just lease a car, and let the company worry about everything else. They sort out the maintenance, insurance, road tax, resale value is their problem, selling it is their issue. I just pay a certain amount every month and drive the car. All of the above are inside the monthly payments. I know it might be a bit more expensive than buying a car, but I rather pay that little more and not bother about all the crap.

After all, do we really own a car in singapore? We dont. So i dont see a point of having a car under my name and still not own it due to COE and then have to deal with market craziness when I want to sell it.

Anyone know any good leasing company? Seen so many on the market and not sure where t turn to.

I also considered the same option mate. Hertz quoted me $5K/mth for 5 yrs and $4.7K/mth for 7 yrs lease on a brand new 528. Prices exclude GST but include everything else. Deductible $2K for Singapore and $4K for Malaysia. Let me know if you're keen and I will forward the quotation to you.

Sold an 80s Silver spirit for just S$35K some years ago. The road tax is like a stun-gun everytime you renew it :D

    Pondering bro, pondering.

It looks very well done & should be an SC based body which you can find a donor to do the same but lots of hassle or pay more for this.

That's S$300,000.00 for 5 years. I think it's still better to buy a new car yourself. Roy, leasing is not a very good option in Singapore AFAIK.
