Stunning shot Harald. The kerb and barrier colours fit perfectly. Plus that little timber framed house, so resonant of Spa. Which corner is it?
I was there too this weekend (without my 308). Nice paintjob on your car ;-). But really nice to see a 308 on the Ring!
Very impressive. I dislike the concept of sponsored corners, even though I'm sure it benefits the circuit. Always plain "Eau Rouge" for me
Come on, Paul! With your knowledge of french, you must now that the expression "Le raidillon de l'eau rouge" has nothing to do with sponsorship, right? A "raidillon" is a colloquial word meaning "a small steep ascent"; it comes from the adjective "raide", which, among "other things" that I shall not develop here, means "steep". "Raidillon" = a small but steep ascending road... "Le raidillon de l'eau rouge" is an usual denomination characterising this part of the circuit, just as the one for La source is "l'épingle de la source" (the La source hairpin...). In the past, you had also simply "Masta" for "the Masta kink"... Rgds
Both the old ladies passed the roadworthy test flawlesly today. Oh how I love these cars more everytime I play with them Image Unavailable, Please Login
What a marvelously set up 308. Flat as can be through the turns, brilliant. If you don't mind my asking, what's your setup on that thing?
Because it slows corner entry due to needing delicate on-throttle application after? This causing a bit more oversteer and then the back stepping out a bit? I know with early 911s it's sort of a no no depending on setup. I think in a car with a ton more power you're dead accurate though. With a stock 308 rack, the steering ratio is pretty weak meaning movements are somewhat trimmed by nature. Superformance of course makes a nice quick rack and that could make things a bit tricky if the car were set up stiff and rear mechanical traction weren't ideal.
