If my memory serves me correctly you did buy it directly from Switzerland after seeing the ad in mobile.de, was it 199K Euro?

Bleu Notte, and that is a pretty good representation of it.

No, it was purchased from its Swiss owner in a private deal facilitated by Joe Sackey Classics LLC.

The claim to the article was that they would "once and for all" determine who designed the Miura. Yet after I read the article, it sure felt like we were right where we left off last month. Did I miss something?

Could be the prototype; there's something in the middle of the rear bonnet that might be the back end of the latch that it had in that area. Do you have a higher resolution picture that you can post or send me? Thanks. I don't recall seeing this picture before.

Alberto this isn't from my Coltrin archives which I bought from the Klemantaski collection, so this is as high a resolution as I have.

It is the prototype, with slats & normal air-boxes fitted.

Giveaway is the askew front license plate holder.

    more pics...

Funny coincidence, someone approached me at a show last year and said a friend in Italy had purchased a silver Miura new, and still owned it. I asked if it was for sale, or being driven, and he said, "no, it just sits."

It may have very well been this car. Maybe I should have followed up on the lead!

Quite sure this is the same car, since that poorly covered registration plate is from Firenze, it's in no way a german plate. Also interesting how they could put a F-engine into the miura bay :)

The season 2 trailer is up with a few Miura scenes included...

Season 2 Trailer - Various Guests - Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee

First episode for season 2 is set for Thursday June 13th at noon. I look forward to it, especially the Miura episode - not sure when we'll see the Miura episode.

Awesome! I've always loved Seinfeld's attitude to the car hobby.

Also surprising to see #3009 at the same location as #1135... both now owned by same Swiss collector and bought last year at a couple of months of difference...

Sorry to come back to this Joe... but your comment didn't feed me without a complete/full explanation/answer.

Due to your huge expertise in the Miura field, but also to your clever documentation, can you argue to Simon Kidston's explanations in this magazine back in september 2009 ?

I'm very interested to understand where is the truth...

    there's another myth busted in that text ;

I understand that Eduardo Miura wasn't aware of his name being used in a car and he NEVER owned one neither

    having said that

I'd love to read the full text of that magazine

well I don't say that all contents of Press article are correct...

I've been concerned by many other errors relayed by journalists or by "specialists"... that I've clarified and that will be one day released in my future book.

but I will scan this article in full for you.

You could be right, but we discussed this Ad Nauseum 2 years ago, and I certainly don't wish to amend anything I said then:

That said, if you come across anything that proves he wasn't ware of his name being used and never owned a Lamborghini, I'd be happy to put it in the next edition of the book, which is coming up any day now: The Lamborghini Miura Bible ? Joe Sackey | Joe Sackey Classics
