Hey guys, I took my car out yesterday for a lovely country drive , it was great!! top was down and sun was shining. I bought a Forza magazine from 1999 highlighting a Mondial buyers guide. Very disappointing article but still ending on a positive note. What do they know. Hehehe Now the question. In the article they talk about a Matronic 2.5 needing factory upgrade or mod. Does anyone know what mod they are talking about? I don't have the early records of the car when it was sold from the dealer, so I don't know if it was done or needs to be done. Or maybe the article is wrong. Also has anyone tried to swap the ECU from say a 348 with Matronic 2.7, would it work? Lino
I don't think the upgrade would be worth it. I'll trade you our 2.7 for your exhaust. The 2.7 has a throttle position sensor on both banks and the test buttons in the trunk. The ability to read fault codes at home is nice. Dave Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
Hi Dave, Yes I noticed thos subtle differences but I was wondering what they meant by the mods. Dave if I had an extra Tubi, I would. I didn't buy another T because it had no Tubi. I will keep a eye open for a pair of Tubi. My mechanic changed a Tubi on a car for a Capristo but it was for a 355. But you never know. But besides the TPS and the ability to read the codes I wonder what mods they are talking about on the 2.5. My car runs ok so I don't understand. I wonder if Ferrari North America can help?

Hi Niclas, Yes I see. I had a Land Rover Discovery which I had to replace a similar item, but what I would like to know if this is an actual service bulletin for a 2.5 Matronic. Randall has a 1990 T with a 2.7 Matronic.. Or does maybe does a 2.5 become a 2.7 after the EPROM's are changed?
