Congrats on the award Bob, sweet, sweet car! Bob, any chance you can make the Ferrari and Freinds Concorso in West Hartford, CT. on June 30th?
Peter awsome to see her out. Patrick and I meet at Glastonbury this morning. Too bad we didn't have another trifecta.
Yes. We should try to meet somewhere get acquainted and caravan to Hartford. They are couple of guys here that could be interested as well. One has a Stratos and another has a 365 BB (not sure if it is ready). If they don't see that part of the forum, I'll chime them.
The European approach to trailering cars always surprises me. Some of the most valuable cars arrive at shows on small, lightweight trailers - often completely exposed to the elements, and pulled by a mercedes sedan or small SUV. A huge contrast to our mega-trucks and trailers in the states.
How's this for a car hauler. =) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
ran across this again [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnvJA9Xtd9I]Balboni on 60 Minutes [History Of Lamborghini] - YouTube[/ame] the marketing guy lost me with his point on beautiful women...
If that surprises you, try park in a parking spot in the south of France particularily... or in any parking space in France or Italy for that matter. I even have issue sometime parking in my Leclerc shop over there with a tiny French car . No way a lambo could park there without hitting something. Many parkings are made for either car that are taller than they are wide. So they don't need big trailers.. When it comes to automotive matters, any matters, you guys in the US have no idea how good you have it going at nay levels..
Thanks these ones! Not so often seen this kind of onboard clips of Countach. I would love to see this angle clips from normal driving in traffic. Gear changes and nice normal accelerations and so on. It would be fantastic.
A couple of other things about the car. It is the Black Amex Card of cars. I asked to go to a car show on sunday which had a closing booking date of 21st April. I asked at 11pm on the night before. the organisers thought I had a LOT of cheek, but gave me a pass! I then Parked in front of the castle, instead of with the other cars and was asked by the Sporting bears charity if I could do charity rides at £50 a throw! I agreed but limited it to a max of 4, although I eventually did 6 and had LOADS of very disappointed people who were keen to pay for a ride. A mate who did this before was out all day in his! Anyway, the reactions were predictable. EVERYONE was amazed at how fast it was! Including a guy who had just bought a 997 C2 with sports extras ( faster than his). I was flat in 2nd and 3rd only. EVERYONE was shocked at the noise ( on s's replica standard system) A guy who had paid to go in a Nissan GTR, then mine, thought mine was by far the better car ( agreed by the owner of the GTR who has an Anni) My mates who had booked to go months before, were not that surprised that I turned up late and stole the show! lol It is events like these with hundreds of amazing old cars, that make you remember that you are privileged to own and drive a motoring icon!
