Hopeful to see Ferrari bounce back from a disappointing Monaco. Anyone else watching P1 & P2 this morning? I caught a glimpse of the new F138 FW: https://fbcdn-photos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/431810_499536210113251_1184465625_n.jpg?dl=1 Definitely a departure from the typical cascades, and the walrus nose looks quite beefier up front. Hopefully it all works!
Probably gonna stream P1 and maybe P2 if I'm lucky (she's late!); *Hot* date for the W/E in the land of no cell phones, let alone wifi! Doubt it'll be hard to avoid any results till I get back late Sunday. Still the first one I won't have watched live(ish!) in a while..... Can I get thru it?..... Will I need to find a TV?.... I'll report back. Cheers, Ian
Argh. I totally forgot F1 will be in our time zone this week! I got up all ready to put on P2 while getting ready for work and strategically booked a round of golf for later morning tomorrow so I wouldn't miss quali. Damn. Mark
Ferrari reportedly will be testing the 'bridge' over the sidepod entries again, they tested this in Spain as well. They will do quite a bit of testing with the new front wing with altered cascades compared to their Monaco spec wing as well. Not sure how beneficial this testing will be in the rain. They have a nose with a pelican hump under it as well a la Lotus. MB and their in-season development have surprised me, they have been cranking out reliable updates every race. MB to AMuS are claiming a little more than a tenth with their updates, supposedly slightly revised exhaust exit on top of the flatter engine cover with cutout.
They'll have plenty of time to come up with upgrades after the FIA makes them take a break for awhile...
hahaha, I don't think it will be that bad. This episode won't go to bed until mid August is my guess anyway.
Argh - It's wet! Should it remain that way there's no way they''ll be able to run the new tires in England IMO.
A Speedy Grab! Do you know if its streaming? Where are the Aussies BTW?.... Guess it's a funny time for them. Slackers need their beauty sleep it seems.
LOL I don't know where the speedster is Also a very interesting clip on there about the tyre situation, interview with Brawn EJ DC Newey Paul Hembery, top and bottom of it, it still is as clear as mud to me, all the fuss. Seems Merc are confident they are ok, Pirelli are ok, EJ reckons Pirelli needed a up to date car to test with and Merc provided it with permissions...
As has been noted, they better be able to find the definitive email that grants explicit permission to do it; I have my doubts. And "the dog ate it" isn't going to fly. Ah, sorry, my bad.
Nico/Lewis are top two. Nico topping the sheet with a 1:24.438 at the moment. Red Bull going off track in places. A dry line is forming enough to possibly be able to try the new Pirelli's.
Ouch They're all still on inters (~30 minutes to go) but right now; NR LH The Hulk Danny R Esteban Mark Sooty .... So much for Merc keeping a low profile! I'll post a Speedy Grab of final times later.
Good mornin'! We were getting worried about you! Still can't use the BBC's iPlayer as it looks at my local time. Oh well, Sky's OK.
Good Morning Yeah I almost forgot about the session Looks like with the drying track I didn't miss much BBC running slow :\
