I think they were still doing it "recently" (?) Almost sure within the past few years at least. It was getting *very* serious at one time though.....

Yes indeed.

However, it started with 'em using "stuff found at the circuit" - Packing crates, trash, anything you could "find" () locally. Then they started squeezing kit into the containers and some said the "fun" went away. [Where do we hear that all the time? ]

I forgot that they brought the s/s as the option tire this race. I figured it would be mediums and softs given the high-speed and handling portions of the circuit.

Will the s/s give them more than a couple of laps?

Almost the only thing they're talking about on Sky!..... They can't take the same liberties any longer - Gotta go the long way round to get back on track. For once, seems like a good move!

 

High speed and heavy braking mean flat spotting is a bigger worry than just wear.
